Muslims in the West: implications for democracy

In a discussion on Islam's presence in the West on Amnation I commented that the presence of Muslims is undesireable, due to their habit to kill those who criticise Islam. To back my statement up I translated the commentary of Orientalist Hans Jansen of Leiden University in The Netherlands. The original commentary in Dutch is here. It follows below, starting with a comment on Jansen's text by a Dutch newspaper editor.

The magazine ends with an analysis by Arabist Hans Jansen of the letter, which Mohammed B. left on the body of Theo van Gogh. Jansen does not reduce to psychological, political, or social factors, but analyses the letter as a religious document. He is the exception. Which disturbs the peace. All articles bring the same message: change the world and religion as a source of violence will automatically disappear.

Mohammed B.’s letter points to something else. According to the introduction the special was meant to add to a better understanding of today’s complex reality through writing history. Is this goal being achieved? Or does the special rather show that the current historical interpretation of religion, no matter how decent and interesting, falls short to understand today’s reality of Mohammed B.? I think it is the latter.

The letter by Mohammed B., attached to the corpse of Theo van Gogh

Mohammed B., the man who murdered Theo van Gogh on 2 November 2004 in Amsterdam, assumed that he would pay with his life for this deed. This did not happen, because in the shoot out between the police and the assassin the police managed to take Mohammed B. out without killing him. With hindsight it is questionable whether we should be happy about this, for a living hero in jail may be the object of a macabre cult. This is what happened in Israel with the murderer of Rabin, a certain Yigal Amir. Just having to report the existence of the cult, which the newspapers will have to do for years, will cause adversariality in society that we do not need.

As he assumed that he would not be able to explain or justify himself in person, Mohammed B. has left a five page document illuminating his deed . Actually the document was attached to Theo van Gogh’s body with a knife. Geert Mak calls this document “a note” and has written a book on the aftermath of the assassination, without touching upon the subject of the “note”. It may often be a good tactic to kill an enemy by superior silence, but in this case the enemy is not sufficiently irrelevant to make this tactic work. Moreover it is unclear who the enemy is. Just Mohammed B.? Does he have allies, sympathisers or even accomplices? Without police investigation and reading the “note” we will hardly find out.

From Islamic or radical Islamic circles there have hardly been relevant explanations of the murder on Theo van Gogh, other than the letter itself. Apologies directed at non-Muslim Dutchmen are almost unthinkable; because there is in Dutch society nothing that could be used to justify a murder and certainly not foggy utterances such as “Dutch society refuses to acknowledge Islam with one voice”. After all what is the opposite? For The Netherlands as one to embrace Islam? Or as a form of criticism on the many (usually ineffective) measures by the State to assimilate and integrate Muslim immigrants murdering a filmmaker/columnist is hardly relevant. Those who want to know the motives of Mohammed B. have hardly anything to go on aside from this letter.

Mohammed B. has a Berber surname meaning something like “Short neck”. We should not seek deeper significance in the meaning of the name, but it is interesting that Mohammed B. is a Berber and not an Arab. There are no precise figures, but it seems that Moroccan Berber youth in The Netherlands and elsewhere have all kinds of trouble, perhaps even more than their Moroccan-Arab neighbours. Berber youth sometimes choose radical Islam on their search for identity. On the other hand, Berbers are strongly overrepresented amongst Dutch Moroccans, which may skew the picture.

At home Mohammed B. most likely spoke a Berber language with his parents. Mohammed B. knows Arabic too and the letter shows that he is also capable of inserting Arabic texts into the Dutch text with all the vocal and reading signs which the Arabic language prescribes. That is an achievement which not every Arabic language student at a Dutch university will able to match. He writes Dutch well, although there is sometimes a somewhat stilted quality to his prose, as the original pious Arabic verses, which he knows well, are close to the surface.

The title of the document is ”OPEN LETTER TO HIRSHI ALI”. It is strange that he misspells the name of Member of Parliament Ayaan Hirsi Ali. But indeed almost everybody in the Netherlands pronounces her name “Hirshi”, rather than “Hirsi” possibly under the influence of names like “Hirsch Ballin”. Moreover Moroccans often hear the Dutch “s” as a “sh”, as the Moroccan “s” and “sh” are much further apart than the “s” and “sh” in Dutch and English. This is why many older Moroccans say “shave” rather then “save” . Misspelling Ayaan’s name may well be used as an insult, but that seems farfetched in this case, as the other names in the document are spelled correctly. The spelling error is almost certainly caused by the Dutch mispronunciation of “Hirsi”.

Any letter written by a Muslim, should start with the phrase: “In the name of Allah, the Merciful”, in some translation or other. This letter starts like this as well. In fact every act by a Muslim should start with this phrase, something which is prescribed to the faithful in the New Testament: “start all things in the name of the Lord”. Right after this phrase a well-chosen verse from the Quran could have been inserted, but Mohammed B. chose to omit it. He does keep another convention: a prayer for the prophet Mohammed follows. Peace and blessings over Mohammed are beseeched from God. An author may choose with which honorifics he will honour the prophet offering a preview on the subject matter of the letter. The convention exists in order to forestall confusion as a result of the possibility that the introductory prayer is about anyone else than the prophet Mohammed, (as has been the case).

The Prophet Mohammed (+/- 570-632 AD) is called the “Emir of the Mujahideen” here which can be translated as: “The commander of the Jihadi”. This is in a sense a traditional title. Odd though, is the second title “The Laughing Killer”, which due to the weight of convention on letters must refer to the prophet himself. This lugubrious phrase is not Quranic and almost certainly not from the Tradition (Hadeeth). The Tradition is very voluble and it may be possible that the expression “the laughing killer” may be found somewhere, but the expression is certainly not common. Hadeeth and Quran do not value “laughing”. He who laughs does not mentally clearly establish the seriousness of what he is doing. Quran states at least three times that laughing often kills the heart. At least seven times Hadeeth maintains that the prophet prefers crying over laughing. The phrase “the laughing killer” therefore causes wonderment. It might be interesting to find out where Mohammed encountered this phrase.

What follows is a whole line of Arabic transcribed in Latin script, to be translated as “Mohammed the messenger of God (the protection of God be over him and God giveth him peace)”. The document continues traditionally: these wishes and prayers for salvation are not just made over Mohammed himself, but also over his family, the people he used to associate with during his life and all Muslims following Mohammed until the Last Day. Then follows: “there is no aggression, but against the aggressors”, apparently the Dutch translation of a phrase which can easily be traced back to an Arabic phrase which is not Quranic, but appears often in religious texts.

After these introductory texts follows a short formulae, which in an Arabic letter separates the preamble from the body of the document. This formula has been rendered in Dutch by Mohammed with: “the following”, although usually translators prefer “and further” or something along those lines. Follows another short prayer for peace of those who “follow guidance”. “Guidance” is here a translation of the Arabic “huda”, in Dutch well-known in a word like “Madhi”; “guided [right by God]”. It is according to the conventions of Arabic texts, despite the capitalisation, certainly not a reference to the leadership of a terrorist cell that Mohammed B. was possibly a part of, or something like that. The underlying image is a caravan wandering through the desert, with God as the Guide and under His Guidance.

Mohammed B. comes to the point. He writes an open letter to VVD MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali, whom he calls an “unbelieving fundamentalist”. It is interesting to see that “fundamentalist” has become derogatory in Mohammed B.’s circles too, apparently. The most important feature, by which we recognize fundamentalists, is their willingness on the basis of their ideology to come to deeds . It remains to be seen whether Mohammed B. uses the F-word incorrectly. He further addresses himself to the “Taghouth” party VVD . “Taghout” is the standard Arabic nomenclature for politicians or political parties which are regarded as anti-Islamic. During the Iranian Islamic Revolution of 1979 the USA was the great Satan and the Iranian allies of the USA were the Taghout. The word has been used for all rulers in all capitals of the Islamic world – but only by the fundamentalist opposition. The word appears eight times in the Quran, usually refers to idolatry, but perhaps already in Quran 4:60 to authorities refusing to stand aside and make room for Islam. Mohammed B. argues next that the remarks of Hirsi Ayaan Ali “terrorize Islam” and constitute a “crusade against Islam”. “Terrorizing” is usually used differently in the Dutch language, but we have to understand that the remarks of Ayaan instil fear in the hearts of (some) Muslims in The Netherlands. Only one reason can be found. There are Muslims who are scared that Ayaan indeed finds willing listeners under Dutch Muslims.

In Muslim texts the Crusades are usually represented as the equivalent of Jihad, but this moral equivalence is incorrect. The crusades took place during a short period of time in European history in a limited area (Palestine), Jihad however is universal and of all times. Jihad against Africa, Asia and Europe had been going on for centuries, at the time when the crusades still had to commence. The last crusader has been dead and buried for centuries, while Jihadis are still thick like flies in certain parts of the world. Next Mohammed B. utters the accusation that Ayaan Hirsi Ali has been rewarded for her work against Islam with a seat in Dutch parliament. She is being used to “spui” (“spew forth”) “animosity regarding Islam and the most noble man Mohammed”. “Spui” is a very particular Dutch word referring to the “polder” image . That Ayaan is able to do this, is blamed on the Islamic “Umma”, the community, which “is forsaking its task to resist injustice and evil and is sleeping of its drunken stupor”. This is an allusion to the Islamic duty to order what is good and to prohibit evil, as is written in Quran 3:110. Orders and prohibition have naturally to be enforced, which is that which Mohammed B. does. In a culture in which alcohol is prohibited the second part of the accusation, that a “drunken stupor is being slept off” is rather severe. It does not go too far to state that average Muslims will feel intimidated.

Mohammed B. further states that his letter is an attempt to silence evil. It is a pity he has not stopped at the letter and put his trust in God. In this paragraph he twice uses the phrase “if God wills it”, which is a prescribed formulae for statements concerning the future. Only a real atheist would leave out this phrase, many Muslims believe. Mohammed B. says that he holds it against Ayaan that she has proposed to “screen Muslims on ideology for job applications”. Mohammed B.’s choice of words makes it crystal clear that he himself realises that he is not spreading a religion, but an ideology. Any appeal to the constitutional freedom of religion that he or his lawyers or his companions would like to make is undermined in advance by Mohammed B. himself. There is freedom of religion in The Netherlands, which is widely respected. This is less so for the freedom of ideology. Fascism and Marxism are not well respected, or worse.

Next follows nearly a full page of standard anti-Semitism, including maimed Talmud quotes circulating on the internet. Especially Van Aartsen, leader of the VVD and the mayor of Amsterdam, Job Cohen are mentioned. It is to the legal specialists whether these anti-Semitic statements are a punishable offence according to the Dutch penal code.

Before reaching the end of the second page Mohammed gets a new thought. He reminds readers of a TV-broadcast in which Ayaan Hirsi Ali asks Muslim children on an Islamic school to make “a choice between their creator and the constitution”. This was not exactly what happened. The children were asked whether they should be more obedient to the laws of Islam or the laws of the Kingdom. Ayaan’s phrasing may not have been fine tuned to the children, but this is of course a problem which occurs with every religion with a legalistic structure. It would not be strange if an Islamic school would pay attention to this question. Mohammed passes the seriousness of the question by and shouts that Ayaan has used the answer of these “pure, young souls” have “immediately been abused“ for another “crusade”. Unfortunately he leaves it at that. An expose concerning which laws take precedence according to Mohammed B. would have been appropriate at this junction and have clarified matters. The assassins of Sadat (1981) have dared to address this matter in their self-justification letter. Naturally they choose Islamic law.

Now the atmosphere grows dark. Everything knows its end and dies, writes Mohammed B. “Death … is the common theme of all which exists” reads the text on top of page three of the document. A free paraphrasing of Quranic fragments which describe the Day of the Last Judgement. “Fear will fill the atmosphere that day” is the last sentence of the paraphrase. “Atmosphere” is not a word which fits this idiom. That Mohammed B. uses it anyway shows that his college education has not been in vain . A loose translation of Quran fragments follows, which are printed centre page. It is Quran 81:1-14, but verse 5 is omitted and then Quran 80:34-42. Both fragments deal with the terrors of the Last Judgement painted in what may be called flashing, tacky colours.

Then Mohammed B. follows Quran 2:94-95, daring Ayaan to “chose death” to prove that she is really confident of her own words. After all Mohammed B. requests God to “grant him death”, to “gladden him with martyrdom” (middle page 4). Mohammed B. thinks that if Ayaan does not accept this challenge, she shows herself to be “a committer of injustices”. It seems that logic her is far and wide to be found at face value, and Quran 2:94 and 2:95 are difficult verses indeed.

Quran 2:94 ends with “wish ye then death, if ye are right” – which possibly has to be understood as “Stand ye with your life for what you believe”. Quran 2:95 states: “but they shall not want to on account of their previous deeds”. That the main protagonists, almost certainly the unbelievers, are referred to with “ye” in verse 94 and “they” in verse 95 does not allow for easy understanding either. What the Quran most likely says here, is that the unbelievers do not want to die for their conviction, because they are guilty of unbelief (and will receive heavy retribution after their death).

MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali (or any other MP) is not eager to die for her membership of Parliament. Muslims such as Mohammed B. on the other hand are eager to shed their life for what they view as the good cause, which possibly gives Islam a tactical – strategic advantage in conflicts with others. That those who do not believe in heavenly compensation of martyrdom rather not become martyrs is a true statement and certainly relevant in Islam’s fight against the Non-Muslims. Verses 2:94 and 2:95 may look out of place and the challenge to Ayaan is difficult to comprehend for those without an intimate knowledge of the Quran, but in its own context it is definitely no nonsense and certainly pertains to the struggle that Mohammed B. has picked up for himself.

Mohammed B. now returns to the decline of Islam, judging that this decline has an upside. “Islam is like a dead plant, which through years of pressure and extremely high temperatures is turned into a diamond”. On the hardness of this diamond, according to Mohammed B., Ayaan will batter herself to pieces and “Islam will be victorious through the blood of the martyrs”. Islam will then “with the sword drive evil back to its dark cave”. With all this flowery speech it is a good thing to remember that “evil” here are the Non-Muslims. The present “struggle which has commenced” judges Mohammed B. “is different from all previous struggles”, for “the unbelieving fundamentalists started it”. The text does not give a clear indication what Mohammed B. is referring to. “All previous struggles” can only be understood as a reference to Jihad which took Islam in the centuries after Mohammed’s death from Mecca and Medina to Portugal, the Balkans and Pakistan. It is more difficult to see what Mohammed B. views as the beginning of the “struggle which commenced”. He cannot refer to the assassination of Theo van Gogh, which had not taken place at the time that the document was written. Moreover it must be something that has been initiated by the “unbelieving fundamentalists”. It can almost only be the criticism of Islam, initiated by Hirsi Ayaan Ali. And “unbelieving fundamentalist“ is a choice of words which Mohammed B. has previously used to refer to Hirsi Ayaan Ali in this letter.

In a European context the criticism of Islam is nothing special. Compared to what has been said about Christianity it is not impressive at all. Over the other religions, aside from Islam, which have believers in Europe there has been criticism and ridicule for decades and even centuries, without the faithful getting seriously upset. It happens that people get angry, but people do not take to arms. And in Islamic literature Christianity is attacked in a rude, crude and rough manner. Mohammed B. has a very odd way to use two different yardsticks here. Muslims may criticise and ridicule Christianity and Judaism , but criticising, let alone ridiculing Islam is not allowed. Even the worst enemy of Ayaan has never said she ridiculed Islam, concerned is only her academic criticism of Islam and her freedom to leave Islam like any other religion.

Murderers like Mohammed B. are thusly truly concerning themselves with the freedom of the debate about religions. He turns himself, by addressing his letter to a MP, straight against the Dutch system as it exists. Opening the debate about Islam is regarded by Mohammed B. as fundamentalist aggression. That is promising for academic freedom and the debates on the opinion pages. Truly Mohammed B. continues the somewhat childish sounding “unbelieving fundamentalists started it” with: “no discussions, no demonstrations, no parades, no petitions” only “death will separate Truth from lies”. To comply with this requirement The Netherlands will become a completely different country without discussion, demonstration and petitions, three fundamental rights of democracy.

The last page of the document starts with a Quran quote: Quran 62:8: “Death, for which the unbelievers flee, will overtake them. Then they will be brought back to [God], He who knows what is hidden and what is observable (=He who knows everything ). Oddly enough Mohammed B. misses a word again, he omits the “observable”. If a Non-Muslim would be so careless with a text it would certainly lead to complaints, if not worse.

Mohammed B. continues to quote Moses, the main protagonist of the exodus of the Israelites. To call the Israelite Moses by his name goes too far, it would seem. Mohammed B. mentions “a great prophet”. Quran 17:102 where Moses, in a scene which led to the well-known “let my people go” tells Pharaoh: “I do really believe, o Pharaoh that you are doomed”. “Pharaoh” is in Quran and in present Islam a standard code for an unjust, Anti-Islamic ruler or power. Mohammed B. wants to explain this, so he writes “we will use similar words [synonyms for Pharaoh, HJ]” which he does immediately and four times: I know for sure that you
Oh USA, oh Europe, oh Netherlands, oh Hirsi Ali are doomed. Is it treason for the possessor of a Dutch passport to pronounce the wish that The Netherlands will perish? The legal councils will know the answer.

Follows a fifth time “I know for sure that you, unbelieving fundamentalist will perish”. This cannot refer to Ayaan, for she was mentioned the fourth time and Mohammed uses female addresses when referring to Ayaan in his letter. Could it be that he is referring to Theo van Gogh who has remained unmentioned in this letter? It almost cannot be else.

Follows an Arabic phrase in Latin script which is used as frequently as it is difficult to translate: “God suffices us and good is he as a Carer, good is he as a Master and good is he as a Helper”. The letter closes with a signature, three Arabic words in Latin script: “the sword of the religion, the partisans of Tawhid”. (Arabic: Saifu d-deen al-muwahheed”, though Mohammed spells it differently. Tawhid is the classical term for the “Unity”, the Islamic dogma about the total unity of God. It could be a reference to the Tawhid mosque , but probably it is not.

The last, sixth page contains a poem, which indeed rhymes. In this poem Tawhid is also mentioned spelled this time as Tawheed . This time it is certain to be a reference to the unity of God. Mohammed B. calls his fellows the “knights of DEATH”. Well, it is difficult not to pass judgement on such a qualification. What should we do in this world, which is for the living, with the “Knights of death”? The one-but-last line of the poem is remarkable: “to the hypocrites I say: ”wish ye DEATH of shut up and … sit”. The capitalisation of “death” is still Mohammed B.’s. “Hypocrites” is a translation of the Arabic munafiqun, generally used to indicate saltless fellow warriors of Islam. The line about “hypocrites” is certainly referring to those who are usually called “moderate Muslims” and not to Ayaan or Theo van Gogh. The three dots are in the original. The “sit” is called into being partly by the rules of rhyme, yet there is more. It could be an allusion to Quran 9:45-46, where the Quran praises those who do Jihad and tells the ones who do not feel like it that they should sit at home. But another more Dutch explanation seems better. “Sit” is written in the imperative, it is the command that a macho dog owner gives his dog. For the moderate Muslims it is a good and fitting thing to know that Mohammed thinks about them like that. (As you know, Islam regards dogs as unclean).

That the document closes with a poem, is entirely in style. The murderers of Sadat ended the document in which they explained their theology/ideology with a poem . But as this poem usually appeared on the last page it got lost in many editions. That it belonged to the original document, is certain in the case of the murderers of Sadat. With some exertion of the brain it may be proved that Theo van Gogh is mentioned in the document prepared by his killer, though not by name. But what is the general drift of this document? In the first place that the author categorically opposes the Dutch system in its entirety, regarding it “Taghout” (authority that refuses to recognise the superiority of Islam). In its stead Mohammed B. places the use of religious violence. The letter may contain an allusion to Theo van Gogh, the victim of the murder, but the letter wastes not one word to mention the little film Submission. The letter addresses a MP because Members of Parliament represent and symbolize the existing democratic order. Without the murder this document would have been thrown in a waste paper bin by a staffer of a political party. Now it has been distributed to the editors’ rooms of all Dutch media.

Secondly any debate on the nature of Islam is regarded by the author as a cardinal sin. This goes rather far. Until recently the mainstream teaching was that leaving Islam was a cardinal sin. However that has now been extended to anyone who criticises Islam. This does not entirely go against tradition. The Islamic theologian Ibn Taimiyya (about 1300 AD) of Damascus has written a pamphlet about a Christian who said something about Islam and the title of the book was: “The drawn sword, over those who insult the messenger of God”. The drift of the title is clear: those who insult the prophet must die. This Ibn Taimmiyya is not an obscure theologian of the Middle Ages; he is regarded by Saudi Arabia’s Wahhabis as their great source of inspiration. It is Saudi-Arabia which, wittingly or unwittingly, concretely finances Jihadist Islam. The arrogant way in which Mohammed B. almost unnoticed addresses his fellow Muslims as dogs is also in line with Wahhabist traditions , who (in the days before oil wealth ended financial worries of the Arabians) kept themselves occupied with Jihad against the Muslim occupants of the Arabian peninsula and the South of Iraq, because the movement on the basis of dogmatic considerations thought it was correct to regard these Muslims as Kafir (“unbelievers”). Waging Jihad in this regard means firstly “to rob”, further possibly “kill” and “sell as a slave”.

The traditional Islamic theological nomenclature for “regard as Kafir” is Takfir. Takfir and Tawhid are the two spearheads of Wahhabi ideology. The AIVD is right to state that the assassin of Theo van Gogh and the extremists are coming from the camp of the Takfir movement. This is not the most attractive face of Islam.

The Wahhabists have been compared to the Ku Klux Klan. That comparison was meant as a consolation: “the Wahhabis are not that important”. In a certain way that is true. But we must not forget that the struggle between the Land of the Free and the KKK cost many lives. Also the struggle against “the knights of Death” of Mohammed B. and possibly the Wahhabis will not be for those of squeamish inclination and has already cost one person a life: the life of Theo van Gogh.

White working class

The (British) Telegraph has an article on the legally hateble group in the West: the White working class:

"This kind of repellent snobbery and prejudice was captured in an extraordinary outburst from newspaper columnist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown. Condemning white working-class Britons as "either too lazy or too expensive to compete" in the new era of multi-racialism, she wrote that "tax-paying immigrants past and present keep indolent British scroungers on their couches drinking beer and watching TV"."

Even though:
"According to the Office of National Statistics, 35 per cent of Muslim households have no adult in employment, more than twice the national average, though no liberal columnist would dream of ever writing about "Muslim scroungers"."

NepNL has:
"then we have 92% (2001 census) of the population committing 4000 racist woundings, and 8% of the population committing 20,000. This means that non whites are 57 times more likely than whites to wound someone in a racist incident!"

Multiculturalism

Multiculturalism according to Fjordman:

"Multiculturalism thus originally had its roots in a cultural identity crisis in the West, but it was quickly expropriated by groups with their own agendas. This period, the 1960s and 70s, was also the birth of the Western Cultural Revolution, a hippie youth rebellion against the established Western culture and institutions that was deeply influenced by Marxist-inspired ideologies. The anti-Western component in Multiculturalism suited them just fine. Following the end of the Cold War in the late 1980s and early 90s, when economic Marxism suffered a blow in credibility although it didn’t die, larger segments of the Western political Left switched to Multiculturalism and mass immigration as their political life insurance, and wielded the censorship of Political Correctness and “anti-racism” as an ideological club to beat their opponents and continue undermining Western institutions."

Multiculturalism is a ideological club in the hands of the elites to beat their populations into quivering submission.

Istanbul Cultural Capital of Europe

Zaman (Time) has more news:"The European Commission has approved a jury recommendation declaring Istanbul as the cultural capital of Europe for 2010."

According to Wikipedia:

"The European Capital of Culture is a city designated by the European Union for a period of one year, during which it is given a chance to showcase its cultural life and cultural development."

Visitors to Istanbul may also visit the famous Fatih mosque in Istabul. This Mosque was commissioned by Sultan Mehmet II to commemorate the vicory over Orthodox Greek Christianity and the capturing of Constantinople for Islam.

"Fatih" is also a choice name that Turks in Europe give to their firstborn son, after marrying and converting a Christian wife.

"Fatih" means victory.

From Zaman, an Islamist Turkish newspaper:"Turkish Land Forces Commander Ilker Basbug announced that Turkey has suspended military relations with France following hot debates after the French Parliament adopted a draft bill making it a crime to deny that Turks committed genocide against Armenians last century."

Ilker Basbug is the Senior Commander of the Turkish Army. Only Yasar Buyanit, Chief of Staff of the Turkish Defense Forces is higher in rank. The Turkish Defense Establishment is the main guarantor of secularism in Ataturk's Turkey and very influential in the country's political system.

France is, behind the scenes, using its influence to stop Turkey joining the European Union. The two country's seem to be on a political collision course.

Port of Rotterdam is being prepared for Terr attack

The Royal Dutch Army (Dutch) is conducting excercises "National Titan" and "Grensweg" this week. The area where the exercise is conducted is Rotterdam Port, volume- and revenueswise the biggest port in the world, and in the Southern province of North-Brabant.

300 soldiers are gaming a situation in which the country faces large scale power outages after terrorist actions elsewhere in Europe.

The troops will mostly operate mostly from Fire Brigade Barracks. The unit that is doing the exercise is the 101 Communication and Information Systems Battallion ("101 Communicatie en Informatie Systemen bataljon"), belonging to the 101 Fighting Support Brigade ("101 Gevechtssteunbrigade")

The Interior Ministry is organising the "Grensweg" exercise.

Free Speech victory in Britain

The leader of the far-right British National Party walked free from court overnight after being cleared on race hate charges in a re-trial.

Nick Griffin, who was acquitted of using words or behaviour intended or likely to stir up racial hatred, emerged from the courthouse making the victory sign as supporters greeted him waving flags, wielding bottles of champagne and chanting "Freedom".

Grenade hits the press in Amsterdam

The printing presses of three newspapers, two of them national was hit by a grenade attack in Amsterdam, last night.


The newspaper printing press is located in Duivendrecht, a seedy suburb in Amsterdam South-East. The premesis was hit last night at 03:00 o'clock.

The newspapers printed there are Trouw, Volkskrant and Parool.

It is unclear who or what is behind the attack. Or what they want. Angry Muslims? The Amsterdam "penose" mafia?

Dutch PM in trouble

Dutch PM J.P. Balkenende got in hot water today over his comment on the death penalty for Saddam Hussain. The PM commented: "The death penalty is a fitting punishment for Hussain, if we look at the kind of ruler he was". He then noted that The Netherlands is against the death penalty.

The Leftwing opposition is raising a storm over these comments and insist that the PM should have ruled out the death penalty.

This is "the Church of the Left" in action.

They know that the PM is a rightwinged Christian and that these often are in favour of capital punishment. They know too that a growing minority of Dutchmen is in favour of capital punishment. Polls show that more than 40 percent of the population favours capital punishment.

The political class in The Netherlands and Europe is monolithic in its pursuance of Leftwing utopianism, however and does not tolerate dissent.

Dutch politicians plan to prop up failing press

As a result of the growth of internet usage and free newspapers for newsgathering purposes the MSM in The Netherlands sees its readership and financial position rapidly detoriating. As the pundit caste is a trusted pen and propagandist of the political class (Dutch) the latter is coming to the aid of the former.

A parliamentary majority of the Christian Democrats and the oppositional Labour Party have proposed to extend the subsidies given to the press. Minister Maria van de Hoeven of Education, Culture and Science has reacted positively to the proposal. It has been recommended that she will appoint a commission and the commission will come to conclusions and recommendations.

Rabble rousing imam called for Van Gogh's death

Two months before Van Gogh was killed by Mohammed Bouyeri, the assassin attended a sermon by Imam Fawaz Jneid in the As Soennah Mosque in The Hague.

In testimony given yesterday by Soumaya S., a female member of the Hofstadgroup terror cell she informed the judges that the group had heard a inflammatory sermon by the Imam. In the sermon the Imam calls on Allah to kill Van Gogh and Ayaan Hirsi Ali by illness and calls on the faithfull to take action that will "shake" The Netherlands out of its self-assurance.

During the sermon which was recorded and stored at the De Volkkrant newspaper archives the Imam also called for moderate actions such as the writing of letters to the VVD, the political party which was the party of Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

Dutch experts on Islam called the sermon "very inflammatory" especially when listened to by "a twenty year old Muslim" and "disgusting" when the Imam calls for a cancer in Ayaan's head and her tongue.

Minister of Immigration (Dutch) and Naturalization Verdonk has said that the sermon of the Imam is absolutely not on. She is investigating his legal status and announced that if she sees a opportunity to evict the Imam from the country she will do so.

Verdonk has sofar evicted 4 or 5 Imams for incitement.

Interestingly the leader of the VVD, Verdonk's party, Mark Rutte, is under attack because of the bad showing of his part in the polls. There will be elections this month. Rutte is being overshadowed by Verdonk. Rutte and most other politicians are keeping immigration, multiculturalism, EU constitution out of the debate, because these issues are too explosive. Verdonk's electoral profile is impoved by these gestures.

Paving the way for an assassination

Geert Wilders, the founder and leader of the Freedom Party was demonised during a televised debate between the leaders of the political parties.

Pechthold the leader of D66 (Democrats) quoted Wilders: "a Tsunami of Islamisation (Dutch) is threatening The Netherlands". According to Pechthold this is "too disgusting to put into words".

We have seen this level of demonisation before, leading up to the assassination of Pim Fortuyn.

Wilders replied that he wants a total immigration stop for non-Westerners for 5 years and in addition putting stop to building any Mosques. "Calling me names and putting one's head in the sand as D66 has done for 30 years are not helpful" he said.

Wilders received no support from the other leaders of the political parties. The leader of the Greens, Femke Halsema, said that Wilders opposes the Freedom of Religion by opposing the building of Islamic Religous building, coyly overlooking the fact that Islam is the biggest enemy of Freedom of Religion on the planet.

Freedom Party Activists assaulted by Muslims

Two volunteers of the new hardline conservative "Partij van de Vrijheid" (Freedom Party) of Geert Wilders have been beaten up Friday night by five or six Muslims (Dutch). The volunteers were putting up election posters for the Freedom Party when the Moroccans assaulted them on the Carnagieplein, according to a police spokesman.

The volunteers were lightly injured and their car was damaged. The Muslims have not been apprehended but mayor Deetman of The Hague promised that the police will actually investigate the matter and try to arrest them.

Security is a big issue for the Freedom Party. The party founder needs bodyguards on a permanent basis. All party events have to be guarded and all visitors to events of the fledgling party have to identify themselves and are frisked and scanned for guns, boms and knives.

A costly and cumbersome way to operate, which makes the build-up of the party relatively hard compared to the work of Leftist parties who see the numer of voters growing as a result of the growth of the immigrant communities that vote exclusively (95 percent plus) Leftist.

The political class is continuing to dissolve the people and electing a new one.

Al-Queda has a group of nuclear scientists from Pakistan's nuclear establishement, working on development and maintainance of nuclear weapons. They are part of Dr. Khan's network of nuclear technologists.

The origin of the weapons is unsupervised Soviet stocks. Supervision of these weapons stocks was interrupted in the collapse of the Soviet Empire in 1990. Germany has wisely funded a program to prevent these weapons and technologies from falling in the wrong hands, but this has clearly not been enough.

Apart from the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima nuclear weapons have never been used in war. The USA could bomb Japan without fear for retaliation or what is called Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD).

A transsnational network like al-Queda is not a target. This makes the threat from Al-Quada a VERY serious threat, unlike the threat from North-Korea or Iran, which are sitting ducks, just like the Nation States of Europe and North America.

Al-Queda can attack, but being so dispersed and invisible hidden in the cultural fabric of Middle Eastern societies and it colonies elsewhere, it cannot be counter-attacked. Think about that.

Verdonk gets apology from Achmed the Amsterdam Aelderman

A week ago I wrote that Amsterdam Aelderman Achmed Aboutaleb accused Minister of Immigration and Intergration Rita Verdonk of "capitalizing on the murder of Theo van Gogh". The filmmaker was assassinated by a Jihadist in November 2004.

"Iron" Liberal-Conservative (VVD) Rita Verdonk, demanded an apology. She would not meet him until he would "go through dust". Mayor Job Cohen (Labour) tried to save the face of the big Muslim hope of the Labour Party, by insisting that Aboutaleb had apologized.

Monday, after heavy critizism from all sides the Muslim Aelderman (Dutch) apologized fully to Verdonk.

The episode is important. Aboutaleb is supposed to draw the votes for Labour from the moderate Muslims in Amsterdam, especially the Moroccans. For a Muslim man to apologize to a woman is a big thing and it will have damaged Aboutaleb's voter appeal considerably.

The votes will go to other leftist parties or more Muslim voters, who have a below 50 percent voting participation rate will stay home when the elections are held.

The Price of Immigration

The book also addresses the 60ies employer's lobby for cheap immigrant labour when the labour market was tight and the opposition to it from the Left. Also he shows that in the 80ies and later immigration increasingly became an ideological matter to the Left, who reversed their earlier position and silenced all opposition to it from the newer smaller Leftist (Socialist Party) and Right (Centrum Democrats).

The reason for continued immigration is that it has become ideological prop for Liberalism. The economic rational is a non-sensical standard retort to silence opposition from the "Right", who these days mostly think in economic terms and free markets.

Fourteen hundred muslims radicals in Amsterdam

Verdonk versus the rest of the world

Amsterdam (Dutch) City Executive and Labour Party politician Achmed Aboutaleb accused Immigration and Integration Minister Rita Verdonk of using the murder of Theo van Gogh for political capital.

Minister Verdonk reacted by:

demanding an apology from Amsterdam city executive Ahmed Aboutaleb, following his accusation that Verdonk made political capital from the murder of film-maker Theo van Gogh. Verdonk called his accusation a ‘scandalous twisting of the facts’. Verdonk has also pulled out of a debate with Aboutaleb scheduled for Sunday.

This afternoon the issue came up in the Amsterdam city council in a motion supported by the Christian Democrats (CDA) and the Liberal-Conservatives (VVD).

Aboutaleb refused to apologize to Verdonk but said he was sorry. He refused to go further. The meeting was ajourned and afterwards Major Job Cohen issued a statement that the words of Aelderman Aboutaleb should be understood as a apology.

We will see how Mrs. Verdonk reacts.

Young Turks turn towards militant Islam

The National Co-ordinator for Counter Terrorism (Dutch) NCTb Tjibbe Joustra wrote in his three-monthly report that young Turks in the Netherlands are increasingly under the spell of Islamic groups that want to overtrow the power that be and promote Sharia through violence.

Sofar it was mostly Moroccans who were recruited by such groups.

Turks were mostly oriented toward their own community and were not attracted to violent Islamic groups. Due to the increasing resistance in Dutch society against Islam and Muslims in general, plus the news coverage of the events in the Middle East young Turks are now turning against Dutch society.

The Turkish organisation Milli Görüs has denied that Turks are joining terrorist cells and said that their imams are countering the trend.

Christian Labour Union withdraws proposal to make Eid a Holiday

Christian Labour Union CNV has withdrawn a plan to exchange a banking holiday for Eid, the Muslim (Dutch) feast ending the Ramadan fast.

The idea was to exchange the day after Easter, which is a banking holiday in The Netherlands, for a banking holiday on Eid.

The offices of the Christian Labour Union were overwhelmed by hundreds of phonecalls from irate members, who were often "in an highly emotional state" (Dutch).

Nadia Aweida, a Coptic Christian employee of British Airways, has been suspended from her job of the wearing of the Christian Cross.

In the rightwing blogosphere there is a tendency to talk about "Islamofascism". When talking of the threat of the believers of Islam agaqinst Western societies.

I think the Muslims should be simply called Muslims and no connection should be made to recent European history.

Islam is 1.400 years old and has been a threat to its neighbours during that time. Fascism is 85 years old. I know of no modification in Islam in the last 85 years in order to align it to fascism.

However there is such a thing as Fascism in Islam. An example is e.g. Turkey. The Turkish "Grey Wolves" or "ideologues" are both Fascists and Muslims.

The Grey Wolves are a very strong force in Turkish politics together with the "Islamic prosperity" movement of Erdogan, the current premier of Turkey. Both used the Turkish diaspora in Western Europe to increase their strength.

The West a sanctuary for the Jihadist Islam and Turkish Fascism

Because the Turkish state has little power over the Turkish communities in Western Europe they can fundraise, recruit and print literature there. About 40 percent of the Dutch and German Turks used to support the Grey Wolves and another 40 percent the Islamic Prosperity party.

Now that Western government have stopped guarding their borders and populations, transnational movements like these (think of Latin American criminal organisations in the USA) find sanctuaries in which they can build up their strength. Our governments keep their eyes shut, Westerners are powerless and our enemies multiply and beset us.

Middle Eastern secularism not so kosher

Another thing is, the secular Turkish state that some Westerners wax about so eloquently has a very strong "State worship" element to it. In order to weaken the appeal of Islam Kemal Ataturk turned the state in an object of veneration, which is very much alike to Communism, Fascism and Nazism. Kemal Ataturk is still venerated like a god by pro-American circles in the Turkish State, especially the army.

Furthermore I could write a similar story about the Syrian and Iraqi Baath party, which have strong fascist tendencies in order to counterbalance the strength of Islam in their societies.

If you mix Western society with a non-western society such as Middle Eastern societies, as happens when you:
a. let them invade your society, thru immigration;
b. invade them with your own army
you are bound to find out that all your options are unsavoury.

Better not to mix civilisations and populations.

As Pastorius of Infidel Blogger Alliances notes, the Belgian Wallons socialists even put a Turkish Grey Wolf, Murat Denizli, on their list, after endlessy haranguing the Vlaams Belang about being fascist.

Give me a honest fascist any day over such hypocritical scum as these Socialists. At least one knows were one stands.

When I see the Islamist threat I hope it doesn't make undue progress because there is a moral and spiritual vacuum in this country. "There is an element of the moral compass spinning. I am responsible for the Army, to make sure that its moral compass is well aligned and that we live by what we believe in.

A fourteen (14!) year old schoolgirl was arrested an put in isolation and then in a police cell (!!!!!!!!!) for asking to be re-assigned from her 6-pupil group in which there were 4 non-english speaking Asians.

Multiculturalism equals western suicide

Multiculturalism is wrong because not all cultures are equal. However, it is also championed by groups with a hidden agenda. Multiculturalism serves as a tool for ruling elites to fool people, to keep them from knowing that they have lost, or deliberately vacated, control over national borders. Leftists who dislike Western civilization use Multiculturalism to undermine it, a hate ideology disguised as tolerance. Multiculturalism equals the unilateral destruction of Western culture, the only unilateral action the West is allowed to take, according to some.

I would like to add: Western supporters of the destruction of the West should be ostracized. If they want to create a new society they should do it at their and their progeny's expense. They ought to stop to drag everybody down with them.

The false choice between Left and Right

Fjordman states:

There are also some libertarian right-wingers and Big Business supporters who see man only as the sum of his economic functions, as cheap labor and consumers, homo economicus. They believe not only in free markets but in free migration, and tend to downplay the impact of culture. They are Islam’s useful idiots in the fight against the West.

My take: due to the false left - right political dichotomy it appears Westerners have a choice and that we have democracy. However we can choose to be destroyed or to be destroyed. The only difference is the size of the state sector. Not much of a choice really.

The acceptable Left and Right in the West have one thing in common. They believe in man as economic man, without any interests outside economic calculations.


The defense of the national State and democracy

Fjordman:

Upholding national borders has become more important in the age of globalization, terrorism and mass-migration, not less. No nation regardless of political system can survive the loss of its territorial integrity, but democratic states especially so. Those who don’t want to uphold national borders are actually tearing down the very foundations of our democratic system, which is based on nation states. The fight for national sovereignty is thus the fight for democracy itself, since nobody has so far made any convincing model of a supranational democracy.

Snouck's commentary:
Most of Fjordman's recommendations have a common thread. They have a strong statist bend to them. For them to be implemented Westerners need to cross a massive obstacle: gaining control of the state. Probably by democratic means. However ther is a problem with that. The political, bureaucratic and media elites are blocking free discussion of issues and blocking the formation of pro-Western parties of movements, calling them Fascist and Nazist. Moreover they are importing large numbers of non-Westerners into Europe and North-America who form voting blocks for the Leftist parties, thus blocking the possibility of achieving any of Fjordman's results using the political process.

Instant citizenship

We have seen this in practice in Belgium and the Netherlands in the 2006 municipal elections. The Dutch municipal elections were in March. A crushing 99 percent of the immigrant vote went to Leftist parties using ethnic candidates to reach ethnic voting blocks. In Belgium the same happened this week. The Belgian political class has created the possibility for foreigners to be naturalised in 3 years. The heavy influx of Muslims in Antwerp and the outflow of Flemish out of that city is stopping the Flemish interest right in its tracks before it can turn the trend around.

Multicultural Glasnost

Fjordman also recommends that European countries get a first amendment guarantueing free speech the way it is protected in the USA. That is a good idea. With free speech Europeans will be able to debate the Leftist-Islamic threat against their societies and convince their compatriots to rally to the banner of Western defense.

I still have to point out that the USA HAS Freedom of Speech. And a Conservative movement. But it does not seem to do them much good, because the rot is too deep. Most American Conservative opinion leaders seem unable to define the enemy: the Leftist-Islamic alliance. Perhaps this will change in the future.

The West must do a Gorbatshov

In the mid 80-ies the belief in Communism imploded in the Soviet Union. The Soviet elites simply gave up on the idea of societal economic equality. The same must happen in Europe and North America, with regards to the idea of cultural and ethnic equality. Opinion leaders must give up on this idea before Western societies will be able to start defending themselves and the current trend of self distruction is stopped.

I must add that creating a platform advocating Fjordman's recommendations in various Western society is never a bad thing. Even if advancement of the cause of the West is blocked by internal enemies, two goals will be achieved:
1. debate and publicity on essential issues;
2. the formation and socialisation of pro-western groups in Western societies.

Pride comes before the fall?

Big Mosque

In Amsterdam-West, the Turkish Islamic movement of Milli Gorüs is building a monumental mosque. The mosque plans boast a 42 meter minaret. And a shopping centre. If finished it will enable thousands of worshippers to congegrate under one roof.

The mosque council has removed monuments commemorating Dutch resistance fighters and Jews who were killed during the second world war.

Perhaps pride comes before the fall.

Construction work on the mosque has been stopped this weekend. The director of Manderen BV, the patron and funder of the mosque has been replaced. This Üzeyir Kabaktepe, is also the chairman of the Westermosque community, a community of Amsterdam Muslims. In Manderen BV there are 2 Turkish youth movements, Milli Gorüs and Aya Sofia. Both Milli Gorüs and Aya Sofia are Turkish Islamic movement that stretch out from Central Asia to the USA. They ar global movements.

A very Turkish Coup

The seat of mr. Kabaktepe has been taken by Ucler Dag, chairman of mosque community Aya Sofia. He states that it is "unclear what the agreements is between Manderen BV, the building corporation "Het Oosten" and townhall."

However, the agreements between townhall, the building corporation and Manderen BV stipulate that the mosque will pursue a liberal policy and they are the result of 12 years of negotiations between the slithery Muslims, resistant Dutchmen from Amsterdam-West and equally slithery townhall bureaucrats and politicians.

Nailing down your negotiating partner

Manderen BV has been founded to create one Islamic parner in negotiations between Dutch organisations and bureaucracy. It has to enable the "nailing down" of a definite Muslim position (Dutch).

Building corporation "Het Oosten" will cease their co-operation if Aya Sofia takes control of Manderen BV. Director Bijdendijk of "Het Oosten" said that if the liberal position of Milli Gorüs is not pursued, the mosque will not be build.

There have for a long time been stories that hardline Turkish Muslims from Cologne in Germany are meddling in the Westermosque plans. These stories have now been confirmed, by the firing of mr. Kabaktepe and the apointment of the hardline candidate, mr. Dag.

Two weeks ago town hall official Arco Verburg reached agreement with Milli Gorüs. The covenant was the so-manieth agreement between the Amsterdam political-bureaucratic echelon and the Muslim movement. According to Mr. Bijdendijk the covenant was not liked by the German Turkish hardliners and the coup is and expression of their wish to gain control and carry on their plans, whatever those may be.

This will not be the last we will hear in the Westermosque saga.

UPDATE:
The liberal Chairman of Manderen BV Mr. Kabaktepe (Dutch)is suing Manderen BV for replacing him with a hardliner. Mr. Kabaktepe charges that his firing goes against the statute of Manderen BV and that the documents used to remove his name from the directors file at the Chamber of Commerce are forgeries.

Labour knee-jerks

The Dutch Labour Party released a study this week by parlementarians Nebahat Albayrak and Bert Koenders.

The report proposes to win the hearts and minds of Muslims. By buying them.

The parliamentarians propose a comprehensive program to bribe the Muslims into loving The Netherlands and our Western way of life.

- Imamschools must be financed, using tax money;
- moderate books about Islam must be subsidized, using tax money;
- foreing policy must be more critical of the Americans, be more hostile to the USA;
- discrimination must be fought more strongly;

The report "Van wijk tot Wereld" ("from the 'hood to the world") singels out Rita Verdonk for having it made impossible for Muslims to integrate, thusly failing to fight terrorism.

The present Cabinet has ignored the "complicated national and international background of the War against the Jihadists". Foreign policy has been too servile towards Bush' policy on Iraq and Afghanistan.

The authors see a big role for the state in integrating Muslims into Western society. By bending over for the immigrant population these will become part of the fabric of Dutch society.

For sure. There is nothing the state cannot do, if it is well-directed. We must all say this and believe this. The state is a great thing. It can suspend gravity if it wishes it so.

If we parrot the Labour Party line and pay our taxes everything will be alright and apart from that there is nothing we have to do.

Arrests amongst a Flemish Neo-Nazi group

Islam in Europe reports that Belgian police arrested a group of members of the Belgian Military which: "busied itself with talking about plans, collecting weapons and explosives and playing war games."

So that is illegal possession of arms basically. Plus talking. And playing too.

The police spokesman stated also: "Though there were no concrete plans".

Justice Minister refuses to investigate the sordid past of Fortuyn's assassin

Thursday 7 September Dutch Justice minister Piet Hein Donner announced that there will be no investigation into the possibility of Volkert van der Graaf having murdered civil servant Chris van der Werken.

Volkert van der Graaf murdered anti-multiculturalist Pim Fortuyn in 2002. It was recently alleged that he had killed before. The case concerns the unsolved murder of civil servant Chris van der Werken in 1996.

Amongst the new facts are:

1. a "Farmer B." who told police that Chris van der Werken had come to his farm in a state of shock because Volkert had threatened to kill him. This was a few weeks before he was killed.

2. The landlord of Volkert of the house where Volkert was living at the time of the murder of the civil servant has declared that he entered the house unannounced during the tenancy of Volkert van der Graaf and found a pistol on the attic were Volkert slept. He identified the pistol as a Walter PPK.

According to the Minister however, there are no new facts that justify opening a new investigation.

And that must be true. Because Minister Piet Hein Donner says so.

Jihadist Weapons cache uncovered in Amsterdam

A weapons cache has been uncovered in the cellar of an apartment building that where convicted Jihadist (Dutch) Samir Azzouz used to live. The weapons were uncovered when the landlord was pumping flooded cellars in the apartment building. The Amsterdam Police announced that they suspect that the weapons (Dutch, with picture) belong to Samir Azzouz' group.

Rudderless Right

The Dutch "Right" seems to be in serious disarry.

After the 2002 "Fortuyn" elections it was the Left who was in disarray. It saw its ideology questioned for the first time, many of its leaders de-robed and discredited and its party structures badly shot up. The Left was rudderless and mastless like French Men o' War at Trafalgar. Bliss it was to be alive and right-winged in that false dawn.

The Left reformed its formations

After some time the Dutch Left restructured itself, adapted to some of Fortuyn's truths and gave the rest of Fortuyn's philosophy a wide berth. These days most of the press is blatantly multi-culturalist and statist again in its reporting and commentary.

The Dutch Right was in charge and reformed the economy

Back in 2002, the days of chaos and turmoil, after the assasination of Fortuyn a shortlived government was formed consisting of the Christian Democrats, the Liberal Conservatives, and the populist Fortuyn List. Due to the ineptitude of the latter party the Balkenende I coalition broke up after a few months. The Balkenende coalition was named after its Christian Democrat leader.

The Right was still strong in the minds of the people. The Christian Democrats and Liberal Conservatives were able to form a new government with the centrist Democrats 66. The new government is called Balkenende II.

This government used its time well, embarking on a program of further economic reform and liberalisation, emphasising responsibility of citizens and their self-organisation. This vision is true to the old time Christian Democracy.

The government slaughtered some of the holy cows of Dutch PC on law and order and immigration. Notably with the harsh and legalistic Rita Verdonk on Immigration and Integration. The message abroad was clear. Immigration fell sharply. The Netherlands lost its image of hospitality in the minds of Thirdwolders looking for a nice warm national body to leech and live off.

Then a few months ago the government fell as a result of an inept action by Minister Verdonk and her political "sister" Lousewies van der Laan of coalition partner D66. This was over the Dutch citizensship of Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Somali Religion Basher. There will be elections in autumn.

The coalition timed their fall poorly. There had been a downturn in the business cycle and unemployment was rising in the beginning of the government. The Balkenende coalition implemented unpopular measures, cutting welfare and government subsidies and attempting to decrease bureaucrat meddling. The Christian Democrats were low in the polls, because people liked neither the "responsibility" message, nor the leadership of Balkenende, who is as inspiring, alive and sexy as a Swiss Cuckoo clock with a common cold.

As a result of the economic upturn since 2005 unemployment has fallen sharply. Due to the constant policies of deregulation and lower taxes since 1992 business is ruining unemployment and welfarism. Unemployment has fallen below 3.8 percent of the working population! Wages are rising.

Naturally the Balkenende coalition wants to take credit for the upswing and tell the voters that all their economic winnings will be squandered if they cash their conservative political chips and start playing Socialist roulette again.

Voters do credit Balkenende with their prosperity and the Christian Democrats are gaining in the polls. But will the Right be strong enough to form a stable coalition after the elections? And will it be a right-winged government or just a leftwing government in travesty?

It is unclear how the Liberal Conservatives (VVD) will fare in the autumn elections. In the confrontation between the popular Rita Verdonk and Mark Rutte the party membership elected boyish Rutte as its leader. Verdonk has the second position on the list. Both are lacking in political and intellectual gravitas. Verdonk is a voter magnet, but due to her defeat the Liberal Conservatives have lost much of their appeal. The Liberal Conservatives are in turmoil, there is a new party list with lots of new candidates. Some of them are antagonistic to each other and have publicly left the party list. One of them, mr. Doctors van Leeuwen, is a very notable former head of Dutch internal security. Another, van Schijndel, has been purged from the part. Van Schijndel is unhappy with the way the Liberal Conservatives are avoiding the mentioning of immigration and multiculturalism issues. Like 2002 the VVD is pretending there is nothing going on although public opinion is getting even more concerned with Islamisation. Support for article 1 of the Dutch constitution, against discrimination is one of the most important point of the 2006 party platform. In the municipal elections in March the VVD even proposed to close down bars and nightclubs that do not allow non-whites on their premises. The whole program of the VVD sees humans as homo economicus, without any other affiliation than his economic well-being.

Despite her disastrous showing in the March municipal elections, the black figurehead of the Amsterdam VVD, Laetitia Griffith has been promoted to a high position on the VVD-list. So VVD is still committed to a pro-multiculturalist platform that bears zero relation to reality.

Democrats66 (D66) can be ruled out as a junior coalition partner after their idiotic behaviour in the Hirsi Ali fracas. Perhaps the party will even disappear altogether.

The Christian Right

Further on the Right is a whole range of old and new Rightwing parties. There are the orthodox-protestant Christian Union and Calvinist State Party (SGP). These parties actually take Christianity seriously and can therefore be discounted as possible members of a “Right-wing” coalition, under current PC conditions.

Then there are a bunch of individuals with party lists that have sprung up in Fortuyn’s wake.

The New Right

The most serious of them are EénNL of Marco Pastors and Eerdmans, old friends of Pim Fortuyn and Wilders' Freedom Party, the party of the Liberal Conservative breakaway.

These parties want to limit immigration, lower taxes and slash regulation. They are critical of Islam and favor strong integrationist policies. They are against discrimination, although Wilders has recognized that the rising tide of non-whites in the major cities is an impossible situation for Dutch society.

Problematic with these parties is that they come in penny packets, have very little history, the leadership and cadre are all new, so there is no “esprit the corps”, so these parties may easily fall apart a few months after the elections. This makes scatters the rightwing vote and makes it less reliable in the long term.

A more reliable partner

Perhaps the most reliable rightwing ally is to be found in the leader of the Labour Party, Wouter Bos. Bos has recognised that the limit to what the white middle class is willing to endure as far as immigration and taxation is concerned has been reached. Consequently he quietly supports limit on immigration. Labour has been thoroughly cowed by their thrashing in the 2002 election. In the Labour cadre committed careerists outnumber committed ideologues. They are desperate that they may spend another 4 years in the opposition and are quiet happy to sell their soul to Satan in order to get back in business. As their party officially views the anti-immigrant Right as demonic they know who they are going to call to get a quote. Wouter Bos is hardly willing to participate in a Leftwing coalition if it would get a majority.

Concluding: the right-wingers who want to make a statement Wilders’ party is the one to support. Those who want to make a practical impact might do best to vote for the Christian Democrats. Whichever coalition is formed will likely carry on the Christian Democratic policy of slowed immigration and deregulation.

Fortuynist Livable Rotterdam goes national

Marco Pastors, the leader of the fortuynist Livable Rotterdam party has registered a national party list called één NL (One Netherland).

The new right winged party emphases intergration, security, education, social security and administrative rejuvenation. All those who live in The Netherlands will have to accept Dutch culture as “Leitkultur”, the dominant culture.

As a Rotterdam Aeldorman Marco Pastors showed himself to be one of the most able administrators of the crop of the 2002 Fortuynist politicians. The Livable Rotterdam party performed well in the 2006 march municipal elections, receiving a very significant portion of the ethnic white vote. The platform of Livable Rotterdam is not explicitly ethnic, but rather culturalist pro-Dutch and anti-multiculturalist.

The leading man of Livable Rotterdam/One NL is a boon to any party due to his administrative gravitas. Whether he will be able to formulate a attractive political platform and attract significant political support is however questionable.

Ayaan Connection

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is now working for the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), in Washington. She has stopped her Netherlands-based activism.

However, not all is lost. She is establishing a conduit of communications with Dutch media and politics.

Ingrid Pouw, the Liberal Conservative (VVD) press officer is leaving that party and setting up herself as a communication and media consultant. Ayaan Hirsi Ali will be her first client. The agreement will commence around early October.

"Ayaan will be my first client" Pouw said, "apart from being her spokesman I will do communication consulktancy and public affairs for her".

Ingrid Pouw worked three years for the Liberal Conservative party. Before that she was a PR advisor of Schiphol Group NV, the corporation that manages, amongst other things, the Dutch national airport.

Murdered Jihadi

A member of the Jihadist Hofstadgroup, which murdered Dutch film director Theo van Gogh, has been found dead in his home in Zierikzee. He was found dead with his mouth covered with foam and is suspected to be poisoned (Dutch).

The toxological laboratory in Rijswijk is conducting an investigation. The family of Rachid B. suspects poisoning too.

Rachid B., a.k.a. Abu Fadil helped Syrian Redouan al-Issa, the inspirator of the Hofstad terror cell to escape to the Brussels airport on november 2 2004. This is on the day that Van Gogh was killed by Mohammed Bouyeri, another member of the Hofstad cell.

Antifa

Hyphenated-Canadian:
"Your report is both interesting and disturbing. Does the average Dutch citizen care about this or is he passive? Is there any outrage in the Netherlands over the way Fortuyn's murder has been handled by the authorities? "

Snouck:
Not anymore. Immediately after the murder this was so. But right now there is little focus for a policy directed at the animal rights violent fringe in The Netherlands. On the other hand the cabinet has effected an anti-squatter law, in order to defend property rights of real estate owners.

Half a year ago there was a huge police action against "kraakpanden" or "squatter fortresses" in Amsterdam. Squatters from about 20-30 of these fortresses in the citywere evicted with some buildings having been occupied for decades.

The municipal authorities in cities with many squatter "fortresses" are trying to get the law scrapped and mounting a press campaign. Obviously they are collaborating with the squatter movement.

The Fortuynist movement was funded by real estate developers with a grudge against the violent extreme left squatter movement which conspire with bureaucrats and municipal politicians. There is a lot of overlap between the violent animal's rights movement and the the squatter movement. But the squatter movement is weakening and the animal's rights movement seems more lively, from what I can see.

Pim's Ghost:
"I can only wonder why Pim did not hire his own security, why would he have not taken this step? "

Snouck:
The Netherlands has for a long time been very peaceful, so people's minds are not open to such measures. There had been measures discussed with Fortuyn when he was with Livable Netherlands and often there were 2-4 bodyguards from a firm called HSC (I think) to protect Fortuyn from attacks. Also there was his chauffeur, Mr. Smolders who actually ran after and overtook Volkert after the assassination. Fortuyn also had no helpful attitude to be protected. He refused 24 by 7 protection.

The protection from the government that Fortuyn asked for was in my interpretation a call against the hate campaign the politicians of the cartel undertook during the elections, especially the dangerous and silly comparisons to the Second World War that people often use when they run out of real arguments.

Also Fortuyn had studied the campaigns of the governments sponsered extreme left (squatters) against anti - immigration parties in the 80ies, which culminated in the attack on a hotel in Kedichem in 1986. During this action squatters attacked a hotel that was hosting a conference of mr. Janmaat. Janmaat is probably the Dutch Haider, the leader of the CD (Centre Democrats). The hotel was burned down in broad daylight. The secretary of Janmaat, a mrs. Schuurmans, actually lost her leg which had to be amputated, when she jumped from a window on the second story of the hotel.

The government subsidized and cuddled the squatters and the "Antifa". The attackers of the hotel were never apprehended or imprisoned for their violence. There are still attacks on right-wing groups, by violent Leftists.

Dutch police finds murderous connections to Fortuyn's assassin

Volkert van der Graaf, ideological killer

Dutch daily "De Telegraaf" published exerpts of a confidential police investigation report (Dutch), in which clues are put together adding up to a picture of Volkert van der Graaf's extra-legal activities as a animal rights activist. The report is remarkable because it is one of the very few police reports into the violent animal rights activists in The Netherlands. This report was composed by the Investigative Branch of the National Police (Nationale Recherche, Korps Landelijke Politie Diensten).

Volkert is the assassin of populist Fortuyn. He shot Fortuyn on 6 May 2002, at 18:00 hours in Hilversum, The Netherlands. Hilversum is a town near Amsterdam where most of the media have their national offices and their studios.



Not the first assasination

There have been suspicions that it is not the first killing Volkert carried out for a long time.

Chris van der Werken, a civil servant responsible for environmental policy in the North Veluwe, an agricultural part of the country, where both Volkert and van der Werken used to live and work. Volkert as an animal's rights and environmental activist subsidized by quasi-governmental organisations ("Postcodeloterij" and "Actie Kinderpostzegels").


Chris van der Werken was shot in the back when he was taking a stroll in a forest in 1996.

Volkert and Chris van der Werken had a conflict about a plan both their organisations were collaborating on. A plan to reduce the ammonia emissions of pig breeders. This was in 1995 and 1996. Chris van der Werken was a moderate.

The animal rights network, an infrastructure of the left

A bit of background: Volkert was working for the Environmental Offensive Foundation or VMO ("Vereniging Milieu Offensief"), a foundation he had founded himself and of which he was a administrator and paid employee. The organisation was funded by subsidies, alotted by sympathetic politicians. The organisation was a part of administrative bodies and councils that deal with environmental policy. A lot of his work consisted of lobbying provincial and municipal polities, in addition to starting up environmental complaint procedures against farmers who wanted to change or enlarge their operations.

Those were his legal activities. Volkert was also a member of a group called the "Furious Potatoes" (De Ziedende Bintjes). This is a group that carries out illigal violent actions against fur breeders, companies that carry out animal tests and firms that operate in a way that is environmentally unsound. These groups are connected to the extreme leftwing squatter movement. Their activities are again often subsidised directly and indirectly by sympathetic politicians. Politicians hinder and disband police units investigating violent activities of animal rights and environmental activists. The activists are known to terrorize police investigators and their families. Biologist Margreet Jonker, a researcher into cancer treatment using test animals, was one of the few who dared to come forward to testify about the violence and threats against her and her family, by these governments sponsored left wing terrorists. Dutch judges are full of sympathy towards the terrorists and let them off with minumum sentences.

The new facts in the police secret file

The Investigative Branch (Nationale Recherche) report mentions:

1. a "Farmer B." who told police that Chris van der Werken had come to his farm in a state of shock because Volkert had threatened to kill him. This was a few weeks before he was killed.

2. witnesses who were walking nearby the liquidation on country estate "Welna" saw a red Opel Kadett, the car Volkert used at the time.

3. Both Fortuyn and Van der Werken were bravely shot in the upper back by multiple shots.

4. The landlord of Volkert of the house where Volkert was living at the time of the murder of the civil servant has declared that he entered the house unannounced during the tenancy of Volkert van der Graaf and found a pistol on the attic were Volkert slept. He identified the pistol as a Walter PPK.

5. Volkert has no alibi for the time of the murder of civil servant Chris van der Werken.

6. A friend of Volkert spoke with Volkert about obtaining a pistol, to commit suicide. Volkert had said that he knew how and with whom to procure pistols.

7. Both murders involved the use of ammunition that does heavy damage to the human body. Both used heavy automatic pistols (in van der Werken's case a Walter PPK and on Fortuyn a Star 9mm) and rapid fire hitting with all bullets fired. Achieving rapid aimed fire takes practise.

International co-operation hardening the Dutch scene

The Dutch animal rights and environmental activists have a working co-operation with like minded extremist British organisations as SHAC (Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty), a violent British organisation.

Again support in high places

One of the most shocking attacks is the abduction of Ferry de Vries, a fur trader. He was bound and gagged and beaten up by 10 masked animal activists. Later during the court case against the abductors the judge shows all kinds of sympathy for the abductors who go off scot free, no jail time, just corvee, maximum 200 hours. A symbolic punishment. The activists got all kinds of possibility to propagandize during the court hearings and even to show a propaganda film about fur breeding.

Volkert van der Graaf is an example of the way these organisations operate. They create legal entities. They do not fund raise or appeal for money from the public, but are funded by chums in the governments, provincial and municipal administrations and bureaucracies. Their activities are encouraged by mainstream environmental organisations as Lekker Dier and Greenpeace. They gather information (maps, registers, notes of meetings) using their legal fronts and use the information for attacks by the underground organisations, such as SHAC and the "Furious Potatoes/De Ziedende Bintjes").

In case of investigations by police they use their contacts in the Leftist parties Greens, Socialist Party and Labour to disband the Investigative Teams. In case of prosecution due to theft, destruction of property and accounting ledgers of firms the judges show their sympathy and give the activists very light sentences.

And so the violent environmentalists scene grew throughout the 70ies, 80ies and 90ies. A hairtrigger gun, just lie-ing about.

The aftermath of Fortuyn's murder

Let us now go to Fortuyn's murder. During the 2002 election campaign Fortuyn challenged the establishment political cartel. He received broad political support for the party he had joined, Livable Netherlands. Three months before the elections the establishment manage to have Fortuyn thrown off the Livable Netherlands party list. The challenge to the cartel has been fended off.

Pushed by Van Gogh Fortuyn starts a new political party. Lijst Pim Fortuyn (LPF). Soon he is again dominating the polls. Support levels are as high as 20-30 percent of the electorate again. Due to the fact that The Netherlands does not have a two party system, this translate in real political power. Municipal elections show a landslide in Rotterdam, home turf of the Left since 1945.

The establishment panics. Especially the Left because their organisations are so dependent on subsidies. Subsidies that Fortuyn says he will end.

A killer from the animal rights organisations network kills Fortuyn. Co-incidentially there is a car nearby with policemen with bulletproof vests and guns. They arrest Volkert within 10 minutes.

But they do not go to his house, to search for clues and a wider involvement.

Cover-up

A politician of the Greens in a nearby town of Wageningen, a hotbed of Green and animal rights activism, an acquaintance of Volkert hears the news that Fortuyn has been assasinated. His name is Jack Bogers and he is a Green Aelderman. He makes a phonecall within minutes after the assasination to a friend of Volkert, Sjoerd van der Wouw, working for the same organisation as Volkert. Sjoerd van der Wouw enters the house of Volkert and erases the hard disk of Volkert's computer.

Obviously Sjoerd and Jack suspect or know that Volkert is the killer of Fortuyn. At the time the identity of the killer is not known and there is widespread speculation that it is a Muslim.

Only the next day the police search the house. They still found some clues, amongst other things plans and blueprints of buildings and premises of targeted firms.

It looks as if Volkert was a tool for other people who knew what he was up to and what he was capable of and did not want him stopped. Fortuyn was threatened and had asked the Ministry of the Interior for protection against assasination. This protection was denied by the Minister himself, Labour politician Klaas de Vries. Fortuyn had also said on TV that if he would be shot the blood would be on the hands of the politicians denying him protection.

In conclusion: Klaas de Vries was in charge of the police, which had the arrest team ready to apprehend Volkert as he killed Fortuyn, but which did not search Volkert's house until at least some of the evidence had dissappeared.

And Sjoerd and Jack, the Green aiders of Volkert were never prosecuted.

A strengthening Anti-American coalition

The response to the terror attack on New York in 2001 was the US-led invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. Both countries were not able to resist the US military superiority and succumbed to occupation.

Both however are massive liabilities to the US, eating away resources.

The ruling elites of Non-Western nations looked on in initial alarm at the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. Their fear was for their own hides in case the US might try something similar with their own nations, removing the elites from power and bringing Iraq-style disorder to their nations.

Already before the war in the Middle East there was concern in China and Russia about US-hegemonism. In order to strengthen themselves these nations, which are growing in economic and societal power and centeredness started to improve their co-operation.

Initially the co-operation took the form of weapons sales by the cash-starved Russians to the Chinese, plus the transfer of military technology to the Chinese military. Later the co-operation was solidified in the form of the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO), a formal alliance with a permanent secretariat and staff, based in the capital of China. Kazakhastan, Kyrgystan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan also became members of the alliance.

Important goals of the alliance is furthering trade between the member states and the fight against terrorism against the member states. China is a dynamic economic and monetary powerhouse and an increasingly strong competitor of Western Nations. Russia is also becoming economically stronger, while it also has technological and military production strength. It furthermore has vast oil reserves, which are increasingly becoming scarce, hence the rising price of oil. The other nations in the alliance are also strong in oil and commodities, underwriting the economic expansion of the more prosperous members of SCO.

Recently Iran, India, Mongolia and Pakistan became members of SCO. This means that the alliance now borders on US occupied Afghanistan and Iraq. Four members of SCO have nuclear weapons (Russia, China, Pakistan and India). The alliance gives Iran enormous strategic depth.

The US is under pressure of the Taliban in Afghanistan. And under pressure of Sunni nationalist and Islamic groups of fighters. These groups are fighting in a highly dispersed pattern, in order to nullify the US lead in firepower.

The US forces fighting the Sunnis in and around Bagdad, the core of the Sunni demographic in Iraq are depending on a long supply line to the port city of Basra on the Persian Gulf. Astride the supply line lie the Shia villages, towns and cities. The Shias thus control US logistics. Weapons, food, spare parts, re-inforcements, fuel, medical evacuation can be turned of if the Shia Mullahs. The Shia Mullahs have been put in power by the US organised elections. And by the dismantling of the old Iraqi Army and the nationalist Baath party, which left religious and tribal groupings as the only forms of social and political organisation in Iraq.

Iran is also able to cut off oil supplies to the rest of the world due to their ability to interdict shipping when it travels through the Hormus Straits, the bottleneck for transporting Iraqi, Kuwaiti, Iranian and most of Saudi Arabia's and Gulf State oil deliveries. Just threatening the flow of oil to Asia and the West would send the oil price sky high, slowing down investment in the US economy and hurting the US labour market, which is already under pressure from out of control Mexican immigration.

The US has a technological edge over Iran, militarily. It will be able to destroy Iranian air defense easily and defeat the Iranian Army in the field. However it will run in far greater trouble than it is currently in when it tries to occupy Iran's population centres and faces a new urban guerrilla from its 68 million population.

And then the Iranians will be able to pull the plug on the US Army in Iraq's logistics lifeline and deny the world economy of its oil in a market that has no swing capacity, as in 1973.

The threats that the US have uttered against Iran on Israel's behalf are essentially empty.

Coalition Catfight

Okay. All you watchers of the news in The Netherlands must have noticed that the government has fallen.

So what happened?

1. Leftist Nova television program broadcast a special on Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the religion basher from Somalia. Ayaan had been lying in order to obtain asylum status. Just as an estimated 95 percent of the asylum seekers. E.g. She had given a false name.
2. Iron Rita Verdonk revoked the citizenship of Ayaan Hirsi Ali. In 24 hours. This implied that Dutch parliament had a non-dutch national in its midst, which made void all its deliberations in the past 3 years. Totally radical, dude!
3. The political class went ape. The "Left" demanded the resignation of Iron Rita and the "Right", the government, frantically tried to find a way to get out of crossfire.

4. The government consists of 3 parties. Liberal-Conservatives (VVD), Christian Democrats (CDA) and the Democrats '66 (D66). This last party is both left and right and is in fact the rudiments of a party based on a personality, who has left the national political scene due to age, drink and general fatness.
5. D66 just had seen a leadership battle between someone who won (otherwise unimportant so I won't distract you with his name) and Lousewies van der Laan, daughter of a Dutch career diplomat. Lousewies is a VERY ambitious member of the international political class. She lost the struggle for leadership of her party and was already making plans to go back to Brussels to interfere in peoples lifes from the lofty heights of the European Parliament. She was full of spite and the spirit of revenge. Hell hath no etcetera etcetera etcetera.
6. Verdonk had just lost the leadership battle of the Liberal-Conservative VVD against Mark Rutte. She was breathing fire. As usual, only more so.

7. The economy is picking up in a big way in The Netherlands after a very bad crash in 2000. This is good news for the rightwing coalition. They now would enter the time to harvest. They want to stay in power.

8. In order to cover her behind Verdonk demanded Aayaan to eat humble pie and sign a statement to the effect that Verdonk never did anything wrong when she declared Ayaan not a Dutch citizen. The statement said also that Ayaan had not lied about the name she gave to the Dutch authorities, as had been alleged, because according to Somali Family Code Ayaan was entitled to carry that name. That is so rich.

9. In order to keep the pasport, needed to keep her job at the AEI in Washington, Ayaan was happy to sign a statement that the moon consists of green cheese and 2 plus 2 equal 97. Hence: she signed. Ayaan is one of the few winners in this story.
10. Then there was a debate over Verdonk and the government cabinet had to defend Minister "Iron" Verdonk against a motion of distrust.
11. The PM defended Verdonk like a lion, all through the day and evening. He has a reputation for clumsiness and not being in charge. He was going to show them.
12. Then at 3 o'clock in the morning he slipped while being grilled by the Greens (Femke Halsema, Green Leader) and admitted that Ayaan's agreement (about the lies and the name and all) had been agreed to by the government, because Verdonk would not want to be humiliated too much. I wonder where our PM whose name I will not mention in order not to further confuse my foreign readership got his reputation.

13. The "Left". The Left consists of Labour, the ex-maoist Socialist Party and the Greens. Labour is doing well (nice leader), so is the Dutch version of the Shining Path (nice leader). But the Greens do not do too well, because their pretty leader Femke Halsema has sex appeal but no voting appeal, which just goes to show these two thing are not the same.

14. This little mistake by the PM gave Lousewies van der Laan a chance to get her revenge on life and all those ugly people opposing her. She sunk her knife in the back of our hapless, unsuspecting PM and the cabinet was dead. She supported the vote of no confidence by Femke Halsema against the cabinet. And because her party supports the cabinet and is part of it, that was a thrust of death.

15. Nobody supported Lousewies van der Laan and Femke Halsema. Everybody kept his powder dry and looked on, while Lousewies and Femke battled on to remove the hated Verdonk. Catfight!!!

Conclusion:
Now the coalition has fallen the Christian Democrats and the Liberal Conservatives have the perfect scapegoat. Lousewies of D66. D66 may well dissapear. Lousewies will somehow be parked in Brussels as a Europarliamentarian, it is a kind of Valhalla for national politicians who have not quite made it, but are a part of the political overclass anyway. And the salaries and perks are nothing to complain about.

Next:
New elections will be held in November. Until then a provisional government will manage the political side of the country. If the economy keeps picking up the "Right" may not do too bad. Probably Labour will fare good as well and there will be a centrist government of Labour, Christian Democrats and Liberal Conservatives.

Nothing much will change. The days of political instability in The Netherlands are still not over. The country is not in a state of political chaos either.

Quandary, that hissing, restless state of the sea between ebb and high tide best describes our current situation.

"Youth" terrorizing ambulance staff

The Netherlands is currently experiencing a warm summer. People are living more on the streets and meeting each other. And these days this means that people meet people from other races and cultures. An enriching experience.

As Mayor Job Cohen foretold there would be trouble this summer.

The usual suspects are causing the trouble. Morroccan youths.

Moroccans (Dutch)attacked ambulance staff and a doctor that tried to help one of their friends who was incapable with drink after a visit to the municipal swimming pool.

Moroccans youngsters (Dutch)terrorize city cleaners.

Moroccans lads (Dutch) beat up a man on a bike and another man while stealing his mobile phone.

In public transport (Dutch) in The Hague, white female conductors are addressed as "whore" by eight year old Moroccan kids. It has become their first name, they say.

According to the police the cause of the violence is the "warm weather". There is of course a correlation. But how did the mayor know in advance that it would be Moroccans that would cause the trouble? And would other people apart from the mayor be able to speak out on the matter? Or is it still the High Priests of Western Civilisation who have the sole right to make pronouncements on race and ethnicity in general and Moroccans in particular?
