Flanders opens representation in U.S.

Wednesday Kris Peeters, the Prime Minister of Flanders, opened the Flanders House in New York (FHNY).

The Flanders House will make Flanders (the Dutch speaking part of Belgium) less dependent on the diplomatic infrastructure of thee Belgian state in the USA.

"The Flemish Prime Minister Kris Peeters (Christian democrat) on Wednesday officially opened Flanders House. The office will serve as a quasi embassy for Flanders in the Big Apple."

Defense and foreign policy are the most essential constituent parts of any political entity. This attempt by Flanders to by-pass the Belgian State shows the determination of the Flemish to become souvereign.

Wilders to go to Britain again?

This morning a Dutch Newspaper reported that Lord Pearsons invited Mr. Geert Wilders again to visit Parliament. Lord Pearsons did the same two weeks ago in order for Mr. Wilders to show his film and have it debated. The Dutch Freedom Party (PVV) MP was then barred from entering the U.K. on orders of U.K. Home Minister Jacqui Smith. The grounds for the refusal were quoted to be the "dangers to community relations" and "Wilders incendiary views".

It has now become public that the U.K. going to allow Ibrahim Moussawi, a spokesman of the Lebanese Hizbollah movement, to enter the country and speak to an audience at the "School of Oriental and African Studies" (SOAS) a London University. Mr. Moussawi has called the Jews "a lesion on the forehead of history" and has been a political editor of Al-Manar, a Hizbollah mouthpiece and a fount of Anti-Jewish propaganda.

This morning the "Nederlands Dagblad" a Dutch newspaper reports that Lord Pearson has again invited Mr. Wilders (Dutch) to visit British Parliament. Baroness Neville-Jones, the Tory shadow Minister of Security, critizised the double standard in Jacqui Smith's U.K. entrance policy.

UPDATE:
Checking Islamineurope I discovered that the course which Mr. Ibrahim El Moussawi is teaching is also visited by othere Islamists. Click for 1. a full list of the SOAS speakers and 2. the £ 1,890.- attendance fee for the public servants that will attend the course.

Moroccans train to steal

The Police Chief of the municipality of Gouda, Joep Pattijn, warns citizens that Moroccans (Dutch) have been observed training to pick pocket bicycle bags.

Gouda has persistent problems with its Moroccan colony. Earlier Gouda hit the news as Moroccans attacked a church with a fire bomb.

More threats to The Netherlands

All the news is bad. Apart from Islamisation and Economic crisis The Netherlands must alway remain vigilant against the oldest enemy, the Sea which may flood 54 percent of our country.

Some German scientists explain the threat of the rising sea level, what it means for The Netherlands and a possible solution.

Rising immigration to The Netherlands

The 2008 immigration figures

The CBS, the Dutch Statistics Service, reported that in 2008 immigration rose (Dutch) to the highest point ever. On a 16.5 million population The Netherlands received 143,000 immigrants, both from EU countries and non-EU countries. The number of people emigrating amounted to 116,000. The natural increase rose and amounted to 185,000. The figures released by the CBS are provisional and are not split to country of origin.

Integration in The Netherlands

Within the EU The Netherlands has the third highest ranking for freedoms and right given to immigrants as shown by the MIPEX index. Just as the other countries with a high MIPEX score The Netherlands scores very low the integration and participation indexes as shown by the PISA study done by the OECD. The PISA Study shows that Non-western immigrants in The Netherlands (Dutch) live higly segregated lives, do not learn the Dutch language and participate relatively little in gainful employment, compared with more restrictive countries such as Germany, France or Switzerland.

The Political and Cultural history of The Netherlands

The political culture and history of The Netherlands shows little inclination for state enforced restriction on religious and cultural groups. The Netherlands is a federation of Northern Protestants and Southern Catholics that was created in the 17th Century in a Dutch Protestant revolt against Spanish Habsburg and Catholic emirial authority. In order for the different religious communities to co-exist in one state the state interferes as little as possible in the internal affairs of religious communities. The Dutch could peacefully co-exist with each other by ignoring the other religious communities. This Dutch inclination is then increased for the worse by the ruling Western orthodoxy of Liberalism and Multiculturalism.

A recent example

Last week this inclination was shown again by new Minister of Neighbourhoods and Integration (Dutch) van der Laan. He want to allow municipalities which have to oversee intergration courses for immigrants to waive the 270 Euro fee for the the 5,500 Euro courses.

Non-western immigrants who come here often despise us. When they find out that they can get away with despising us they despise us even more.

It is a lose-lose situation.

Dutch GDP shrinks dramatically

This week the Dutch CPB (Central Planning Bureau, a Governmental Econometrist Information Service) undertook an unusual step. It published the estimate of economic performance a month early due to their serious and disturbing nature. As a result of the international financial crisis the growth estimate for Dutch GDP for 2009 is MINUS 3.5 percent. The 2010 estimate is minus 0.25 percent. This means two consecutive years of economic contraction.

This means we are in a very serious kind of recession or rather a depression type of situation. An unusually deep contraction of the economy. Unemployement is rising. As a result the social peace and "community relations" will suffer seriously.

Geert Wilders enters Italy

Geert Wilders yesterday visited Italy (Dutch). He went there as a part of his "Facing Jihad World Tour" and to receive the Oriana Fallaci Free Speech Award.

It would seem that Italy is politically less affected by Islamisation than Great Britain, which refused Geert Wilders entrance last week. This was motivated by a concern for "community relations" and Geert Wilders' pronunciations on the subject of the Islamic religion and the Quran.

Gates of Vienna: Whither Germany?

Baron Bodissey has allowed a German Blogger, Furor Teutonica, to enlighten us about the Pro-Deutschland party which is currently being formed in Germany and which opposes Islamisation of their Nation.

In a comment another German blogger, the Editrx from the Roncesvalles blog reacts:
"As I have pointed out countless times, there ARE NO "conservatives" in Germany. Never were, are not, never will be." (part of a longer comment).

I wrote the following reply:
So you have countless times made a categoral statement that Germans are into enternity unable to form a viable Conservative or Pro-German movement which is part of the greater family of Western nations.

You motivate this by pointing towards the Nazi-era co-operation between NS and Arab Leaders against the Jews and others (Serbs). And the ongoing co-operation between the German Left and annialist Islam (Iran and the Palestinians).

You further motivate your POV by the Germans never having been occupied and reformed by the Romans.

("The relative absence of the mellowing, civilisatory Roman influence serves here to explain a cruel and ruthless streak in the Germans that seems to be absent, or not so prevalent, in other European people.")

First please tell me how does this Roman monopoly on a nations' soundness works?

The Romans were a relatively civilized force in their time. They still were annialationist in their treatment of enemies, putting men, women and children to the sword with careless abandon. This fate befell ancient Israel. Two times (70 and 135 AD).

The Germans on the other hand had a fairly mellow reputation as a friendly and pastoral people as evidenced for instance by Edward Gibbons in the "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire".

A reputation that goes back perhaps 2.500 years.

The Germans ruined that reputation in the Twentieth Century. To be precise in the period 1933 - 1945. That is 12 years of history, a scope that is even narrower than the Quran's.

Secondly, the many examples that you show of Leftist Jew and Israel hatred are not German-specific. A similar pattern can be observed in ANY Western country. Therefore it does not prove the unredeemably Anti-Western character of the German nation.

I would like to state that it IS possible for the German Nation to run on a pro-Western Course.

Twenty years ago there was no Pro-Western movement in the UK, the Netherlands or Denmark either and the only ones standing up to Mass-immigration and Islamisation were those marinated in the brown sauce.

This situation has been corrected either by new Parties without Brown roots (Netherlands and Denmark) or Parties with suspect beginnings gradually distancing themselves from suspect roots and cleaning up (UK).

Oh and neither Denmark nor the dominant North of the Netherlands was ever occupied by the Romans and taught by them.

There is no categoral reason why a German political movement could not lead the German Nation to a Pro-Western (including Pro-Israel) stance. Either by forming a clean roots party or by a dirty party that cleans up as it broadens its base of support. Pro-Deutschland may be either.

Anti-Jihadists have got nothing to lose and Germany to win when we keep this possibility of their and our national redemption open.

Geert Wilders' Freedom Party goes Europe

Geert Wilders' Freedom Party (PVV) has today announced its intention to appoint canidates that will contest the elections for the European Parliament (EP). These elections will be on 4 April 2009.

The campaign will focus on issues like a veto for the national government on legislation coming from Brussels. Eighty percent of all Dutch legislation comes from the EU level. Other issues are "no admission to the EU of Turkey (Dutch). Not in a hundred, not in a thousand years".

And finally, Mr. Wilder will henceforth be addressed as Thor by the EP.

YEAH! :-)

Geert Wilders' speech

Here is a link to the website of Geert Wilders with the text of the speech he was going to give to the Lords after the showing of Fitna.

Wilders starts: "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much.

Thank you for inviting me. Thank you Lord Pearson and Lady Cox for showing Fitna, and for your gracious invitation. While others look away, you, seem to understand the true tradition of your country, and a flag that still stands for freedom.

This is no ordinary place. This is not just one of England’s tourist attractions. This is a sacred place. This is the mother of all Parliaments, and I am deeply humbled to speak before you.

Blackwater changes its name

Blackwater USA, the US Private Military Firm (PMF) changed its name. It is now going to do business under the brandname Xe. The rebranding reflects the bad reputation the firm earned operating in Iraq, as a result of killing civilians.

The firm was the number one PMF used by the USA to fight the insurgency against their occupation of the Middle Eastern country. It was responsible for the security of the State Department Staff in Iraq including governor Paul Bremer and his successor John Negroponte.

The US heavily depends on personel provided by PMFs in its struggle against terrorists motivated by Islam, who are waging Jihad on the USA and other Non-Islamic nations.

US has no strategy for Afghanistan

After the attack on the WTC in 2001 the US quickly moved to invade Afghanistan. The goal was to capture Bin Laden and to eliminate and capture the Al-Qaida network which was responsable for 9-11 attack on US citizens. The US drove the Taliban government of Afghanistan into Pakistan. Then the US invaded Iraq and lost sight of its original objective.

Today the Taliban and Al-Qaida are back in force in Afghanistan and the fight they offer NATO and Pro-Karzai forces is getting more and more intensive. So what are the US and NATO forces doing in Afghanistan.

The new US President Obama asked the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Department of Defence (DoD) and he got a startling answer:

"Frankly, we don't have one."

After seven years in Afghanistan the US DoD still has no strategy!

Geert Wilders send back to The Netherlands

The British authorities have put Geert Wilders (Dutch) on a plane flying back to The Netherlands. Mr. Wilders' attempt to debate about the Quran in British Parliament has come to naught.

Geert Wilders flies to UK!!

Geenstijl and Spitsnieuws report that Geert Wilders boarded the British Midlands plane to London and that he is flying to London. This despite the Airliner stating that they had cancelled his ticket last night. Wilders boarded the plane at 13:45 Netherlands time and should be halfway to England as I blog this.

Read the Spitsnieuws article (in Dutch).

Geert Wilders blocked by airline from flying to the UK

Geert Wilders' ticket cancelled

Geert Wilders had arranged to go to the British Parliament to show his film Fitna to British Parlementarians. Two days ago the Home Office sent Mr. Wilders a letter stating that he will not be allowed into Great Britain by the British government.

Wilders' Defiance

Defiantly Geert Wilders announced that he would go to Great Britain regardless, daring the authorities to stop him.

The airline that was to take him to London, British Midlands, has CANCELLED the ticket of Wilders' Flying Circus (Dutch).

Geert Wilders barred from entering UK

This one is the bloody limit.

"Dutch Right-wing politician and controversial anti-Islam campaigner Geert Wilders has been refused entry to the United Kingdom despite being invited to visit by a member of the House of Lords, the British parliament's upper chamber."

The reason he has been barred are concerns for "public order".

Geert Wilders has announced he will try to enter Britain regardless of the ban.

Labour hardly bigger than Freedom Party

Last week this blog featured a post about the diminishing centre of Dutch politics. Today polling institute peil.nl polled the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA) even lower than last week. They lost two seats and are now polling at 24 seats. That is only one more than Geert Wilders' Freedom Party (PVV).

The two seats went to other Left wing parties.

Wilders' appeal without merit?

Penal Code authorities dismiss merit of Wilders' appeal

Two Dutch Penal Code full professors argue that the recent attempt by Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders (Dutch) to have the prosecution against him cancelled, will fail.

Full professors Ybo Buruma and Gerard Mols argue that Geert Wilders' "appeal in the interest of the law" has no merit.

Mr. Buruma and Mr. Mols argue that an "appeal in the interest of the law" can be made to maintain the unity of the law. And usually there is no interested party in such cases. Mr. Bram Moszkowicz who is now appealing as Geert Wilders' laywer has succesfully made a similar appeal on behalf of Desi Bouterse a Surinamese former dictator responsable for murdering dissidents in the former Dutch colony. In that case the defendant wás an interested party. But it was argued that a Dutch Court has no jurisdiction over crime cases that happened abroad. The "appeal in the interest of the law" was successful in tearing up the case against the Surinamese dictator.

This will not stand in the Wilders case though. Wilders critizised Islam in The Netherlands. Dutch Courts of course have jurisdiction on Dutch territory. Furthermore there is no danger against the unity of the law, as Wilders may appeal to a verdict to the High Court in due course.

Defense of the Appeal of Mr. Wilders

It would seem that Mr. Moszkowicz argues that the appeal wíll stand, as he states that it is a "miscarriage of justice" and "a highly particular and fundamental matter, namely free speech".

It seems that Mr. Moszkowicz does not address the criticism of Professors Ybo Buruma and Gerard Mols that this matter does not constitute a threat against the unity of law.

On the other hand "appeal in the interest of the law" can also be initiated for issues that are described as "current". The "Procureur-Generaal" is the official of the High Court who has to judge whether he will grant the appeal "in the interest of the law". Whether he will do so remains to be seen.

Possible political interference in the case in favour of Wilders'?

It appears to me that the "Procureur-Generaal" will indeed judge Mr. Moszkowicz' appeal to have enough merit. Especially as political power and the power of the Judiciary mesh into one at this level. The political establishment has to compete for votes with Geert Wilders and with the prosecution against Wilders his electoral appeal has increased. The Amsterdam Court of Appeal has framed the Judicial and Political establishment in a situation where they look like a Goliath crushing a hapless Geert Wilders in the role of David.

The advantage here is on the side of David and not on the side of Goliath as history shows time and time again. The establishment will lose credibility and Geert Wilders stands to gain hugely.

Why does Geert Wilders do this?

This is why I do not fully understand Geert Wilders' decision to appeal against his prosecutions. It seems a political miscalculation. Possibly borne from Geert Wilders' strong sense of Justice or otherwise from a lack of funds to be able to bear the legal costs of a drawn out legal battle. This legal battle is estimated to take two years.

Geert Wilders makes a new move

Geert Wilders of the Freedom Party (PVV) hired Mr. Abraham Moszkowicz to fight the prosecution by the Amsterdam Court of Appeal against Hate Speech. Mr. Moszkowicz is one of the most prestigious laywers of The Netherlands.

Mr. Moszkowicz wants the Procureur-Generaal of the High Court* to "tear up" the ruling to prosecute.

Mr. Moszkowicz has previously won such an appeal to the "Procureur-Generaal" of the High Court in the case against Surinamese dictator Desi Bouterse.

The procedure is called "appeal in the interest of the law"**. It can be made in "current legal questions or questions in the interest of the unity of the law"

More at Dutchnews on Geert Wilders' appeal.

* "Hoge Raad" is the Highest College of the Law in The Netherlands

** "cassatie in het belang der wet".

Dutch politics is hollowing out further

What do the polls say about the backing of the Dutch political parties?

This blog has pointed to the increasing fragmentation of the Dutch political landscape several times. The large centre parties ar losing voters. Parties with a stronger ideological profile are attracting more and more voters. The process is illustrated by the regular voting polls.

The last poll is from peil.nl (Dutch) from the first of February. Yesterday.

The biggest two parties

Traditionally the Christian Democrats (CDA) have the biggest share of the votes. Followed by Labour (PvdA). The CDA dropped to its lowest point since polls were held in 1952. The Dutch Parliament (Dutch) has 150 seats and the CDA would receive 28 seats. The PvdA would take 26.

The rest

There are now four parties which have between 20 and 28 seats. Another two parties have between 15 and 20 seats. Basically this means that no party has a strong core of voters that really stand by their party and agrees with its ideology. They can lose their function as intermediaries between society and politics.

Repercussions

Further this fragmentation means that it will get more and more difficult to built majority coalitions that can govern. Coalitions will be unstable due to the fact that they have to be put together from three or four parties.

Will the gains of Geert Wilders be timely?

Geert Wilders' Freedom Party has grown to 23 seats in the polls. This is due to his prosecution for hate speech against Islam. Whether the effect of this prosecution will still be noticeble late in 2010 when the next elections will be held, remains to be seen.

Death threats abound in The Netherlands

Prosecuting Geert Wilders

The Amsterdam Court of Appeal ordered the prosecution of MP Geert Wilders, reacting on complaints made by various persons listed by Het Vrije Volk (Dutch). The layywer that issued the compaint for them is Mr. Gerard Spong. A prominent member of the group is Mr. Els Spong, a member of the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA).

The reaction from the public

The Dutch press now reports that out of this group two are receiving large amounts of death threats. The death threats come both from Dutchmen and from other European countries.

First Mr. Gerard Spong (Dutch) informed the press that he received threatening phone calls and e-mails.

And now also Mr. Els Lucas (Dutch) is receiving these threats.

Mr. Gerard Spong (Dutch) has requested body guards from the Dutch authorities. The police has promised to send people to guard the laywer.

Geert Wilders has denounced the threats against Mr. Spong.

Society is splintering

The issuing of death threats against those who seek to surpress Wilders shows how strong Geert Wilders' base is and how Dutch and European society is fragmenting as a result of Multicultural policies.
