Starting the Fitna 2 project
The leader of the Dutch Freedom Party (Dutch) announced (Dutch) the commencing of making a sequel to his earlier film "Fitna". "Fitna" means "Discord" in Arabic and is a Islamic theological term.
Jihad and Mass-immigration
In the original "Fitna" Geert Wilders showed the connection between present day terrorism by Mislims and the injunctions in the Quran to wage Jihad to further the power of Sharia-law in Non-Muslim societies.
Mr. Geert Wilders stated that "Fitna 2" will focus on Mass-immigration as an engine for Islamisation of the West. The importance of demographics rather than just terror will be an eye-opener to many right-wingers. This deviates from the universalist neo-conservative position which has been an important prop of U.S.-policy.
US filmmakers
It is intended to involve U.S. filmmakers in the making of "Fitna 2". This is important because the U.S. promotes mass immigration for Western societies. Recently U.S. President Obama urged the EU to accept Turkey as a member, which would open European nations to unchecked immigration from Turkey.
The original "Fitna" was made by a Dutch filmmaker who named himself "Scarlet Pimpernel". The name of the new filmmaker has not been revealed.
"Fitna, the Sequel" is slated to be released in 2010.

Geert Wilders' speech
Here is a link to the website of Geert Wilders with the text of the speech he was going to give to the Lords after the showing of Fitna.
Wilders starts: "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much.
Thank you for inviting me. Thank you Lord Pearson and Lady Cox for showing Fitna, and for your gracious invitation. While others look away, you, seem to understand the true tradition of your country, and a flag that still stands for freedom.
This is no ordinary place. This is not just one of England’s tourist attractions. This is a sacred place. This is the mother of all Parliaments, and I am deeply humbled to speak before you. Read more of Wilders' speech.."

Geert Wilders send back to The Netherlands
The British authorities have put Geert Wilders (Dutch) on a plane flying back to The Netherlands. Mr. Wilders' attempt to debate about the Quran in British Parliament has come to naught.
Geert Wilders flies to UK!!
Geenstijl and Spitsnieuws report that Geert Wilders boarded the British Midlands plane to London and that he is flying to London. This despite the Airliner stating that they had cancelled his ticket last night. Wilders boarded the plane at 13:45 Netherlands time and should be halfway to England as I blog this.
Read the Spitsnieuws article (in Dutch).

Geert Wilders blocked by airline from flying to the UK
Geert Wilders' ticket cancelled
Geert Wilders had arranged to go to the British Parliament to show his film Fitna to British Parlementarians. Two days ago the Home Office sent Mr. Wilders a letter stating that he will not be allowed into Great Britain by the British government.
Wilders' Defiance
Defiantly Geert Wilders announced that he would go to Great Britain regardless, daring the authorities to stop him.
The airline that was to take him to London, British Midlands, has CANCELLED the ticket of Wilders' Flying Circus (Dutch).

Wilders' appeal without merit?
Penal Code authorities dismiss merit of Wilders' appeal
Two Dutch Penal Code full professors argue that the recent attempt by Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders (Dutch) to have the prosecution against him cancelled, will fail.
Full professors Ybo Buruma and Gerard Mols argue that Geert Wilders' "appeal in the interest of the law" has no merit.
Mr. Buruma and Mr. Mols argue that an "appeal in the interest of the law" can be made to maintain the unity of the law. And usually there is no interested party in such cases. Mr. Bram Moszkowicz who is now appealing as Geert Wilders' laywer has succesfully made a similar appeal on behalf of Desi Bouterse a Surinamese former dictator responsable for murdering dissidents in the former Dutch colony. In that case the defendant wás an interested party. But it was argued that a Dutch Court has no jurisdiction over crime cases that happened abroad. The "appeal in the interest of the law" was successful in tearing up the case against the Surinamese dictator.
This will not stand in the Wilders case though. Wilders critizised Islam in The Netherlands. Dutch Courts of course have jurisdiction on Dutch territory. Furthermore there is no danger against the unity of the law, as Wilders may appeal to a verdict to the High Court in due course.
Defense of the Appeal of Mr. Wilders
It would seem that Mr. Moszkowicz argues that the appeal wíll stand, as he states that it is a "miscarriage of justice" and "a highly particular and fundamental matter, namely free speech".
It seems that Mr. Moszkowicz does not address the criticism of Professors Ybo Buruma and Gerard Mols that this matter does not constitute a threat against the unity of law.
On the other hand "appeal in the interest of the law" can also be initiated for issues that are described as "current". The "Procureur-Generaal" is the official of the High Court who has to judge whether he will grant the appeal "in the interest of the law". Whether he will do so remains to be seen.
Possible political interference in the case in favour of Wilders'?
It appears to me that the "Procureur-Generaal" will indeed judge Mr. Moszkowicz' appeal to have enough merit. Especially as political power and the power of the Judiciary mesh into one at this level. The political establishment has to compete for votes with Geert Wilders and with the prosecution against Wilders his electoral appeal has increased. The Amsterdam Court of Appeal has framed the Judicial and Political establishment in a situation where they look like a Goliath crushing a hapless Geert Wilders in the role of David.
The advantage here is on the side of David and not on the side of Goliath as history shows time and time again. The establishment will lose credibility and Geert Wilders stands to gain hugely.
Why does Geert Wilders do this?
This is why I do not fully understand Geert Wilders' decision to appeal against his prosecutions. It seems a political miscalculation. Possibly borne from Geert Wilders' strong sense of Justice or otherwise from a lack of funds to be able to bear the legal costs of a drawn out legal battle. This legal battle is estimated to take two years.

Dutch anti Islam movie surpressed

Ehsan Jami the Iranian-Dutch apostate of Islam is making another anti-Islam film to supplement Geert Wilders' Fitna. The film focuses on the Prophet Muhammad's marriage to 9 year old Aisha and other of his behaviour that is ... er ... remarkable. The film was set to be released on Hitler's birthday, April 20th.
Due to strong pressure from Iran, Mr. Jami decided not to release the film. He stated that: "I have no army behind me (Dutch). The Dutch state cannot protect me"
Minister of Justice Hirsch Ballin had also pressured Mr. Jami not to release the highly provocative animation movie.

Geert Wilders released his movie Fitna
Yesterday Geert Wilders released Fitna. The film is critical of Islam. The medium that showed Fitna was LiveLeak.
The Dutch public reacted calmly. The Muslim immigrants behaved too.
It appears that the Dutch government and elites shot their collective bolt by trying to surpress the release of the movie.

Another obstacle for Wilders
After all Dutch broadcasters stated they would not broadcast Wilders' movie, there was an avenue left. Political news centre "Nieuwspoort" in the Dutch capital The Hague announced their willingness to air the film. Under the condition that Wilders (Dutch) would be responsible for security.
Wilders today stated he was neither willing nor able to pay for this security. The bill would amount to 300.000 or 400.000 Euros.
There are rumours that Fitna today got a preview on the Rotterdam Film Festival though.

The chicken run: more Dutchmen looking to emigrate due to Wilders' movie
For years Frans van Houten organized the Emigration Fair. The fair caters to people living in The Netherlands and who are looki ng for greener pastures abroad.
With all the hullabaloo about the film, the expected inpact on Muslims people are running scared and consequently interest in the fair has soared.
This year the fair is expected to receive 50 percent more visitors due to the anxiety caused by the Wilders' film (Dutch).

the word "Fitna" is a mirror. Islam (Dutch) is our trial by Ordeal, our Tribulation. He continued:
the film ends with a shot of the prophet. Something happens to the portrait. I will not say what it is.
