Freedom Party nearly biggest party in Dutch parliament
The Freedom Party (PVV) is nearly the bigggest party in Dutch parliament.
In the graph below the grey line with the red arrow pointing to it represents the number of seats the PVV would get in in polls conducted by peil.nl, a Dutch polling firm.
The grey line representing the PVV nears the blue line of the right-liberal VVD, the dominant party in the current government.
Most Leftist parties are falling as well with the exeption of the Euro-sceptic but hard left SP, represented by the bright red line. The polls reflect the growing weariness of the Dutch public with the process of European unification in the EU and the hostility of the public to Multi-culturalism, immigration and Islam.

Lisbon Treaty: official end to the social contract
The end of the nation state in Europe?
Today on December the first the Lisbon Treaty has come into effect. This means that the European Union (EU) has now officially taken over many of the functions and powers that used to be the prerogative of the national state. A process that was started in the early fifties of the 20ieth century to create supra-national political entities whose powers will eat up the powers that used to belong to democratic nations state has reached its full flowering. Despite a French and a Dutch referendum that stated that a majority of the citizens of those nations do not want to end their political represantation by national states.
No reciprocal obligations
The pretence of the European elite of democratic representativity has ended. Therefore legitimacy has been stripped away. The elite openly states they do not care about any obligations they might have towards the governed. The peoples, the nations of Europe have likewise been freed of their obligations towards the elites, the political class and the class of bureaucrats and managers which legislate our lives in detail.

The New President of Europe, Van Rompuy
The EU has just appointed as a President of Europe under the Lisbon Treaty. His name is Herman van Rompuy. He is a Flemish Christian Democrat politician from Belgium.
Paul Belien has a lot of background information on Van Rompuy. Van Rompuy was elected secretly by 27 Prime Ministers of all EU member states. The difference in the election process between this EU President and an Prime Minister or President elected by the public is striking.
Interestingly Mr. Van Rompuy argued against the entrance of Turkey to the EU (HT De Zwijger) on the grounds that it would dilute the Christian character of the EU. I augur that Mr. Van Rompuy will change his position on Turkey and will work towards the incorporation of Turkey into the EU.

German reunification and the European unification
Today Europe commemorates it is 20 years ago that the wall that separated the German Demos into a Communist Germany and a Democratic West Germany. This is at the same time that the EU unifies the 27 or so member states under the Lisbon treaty.

The most important other candidates is Luxembourg's Jean Claude Juncker. The names of more than ten other candidates are mentioned. There have been rumours in The Netherlands that the long serving Dutch Christian Democrat PM Balkenende would become the EU President. These rumours were denied by the Government and Mr. Balkenende himself. Since last Friday 30 October 2009 those who expect Balkenende to move up a step to become the man to occupy the highest political seat in the EU are seeing that their prognosis gets assistance from confirmation by the Dutch PM himself. No, Balkenende has not yet explicitly confirmed that he is a candidate against the UK's Tony Blair. His words were:

This is in fact typical of the whole EU, which defies getting grasped by the people it is supposed to represent. It is a bog and a labyrinth at the same time.

It took a while. But Geert Wilders' Freedom Party (PVV) will get a 5th seat in the EU Parliament (EP) in Brussels. According to the otherwise desastrous Lisbon Treaty The Netherlands will get an extra seat in the EP. This seat will go to the second biggest fraction, the PVV. This will make the PVV as big as the Christian Democrats (CDA) in the EP. It is an portent of things to come in The Netherlands.

Geert Wilders, the leader of the Freedom Party (PVV), is being prosecuted in The Netherlands by the Amsterdam Court of Appeal for hate speech, as has been reported on this blog. There is disturbing news from the legal front for Wilders.
In Belgium a politician, Daniel Feret, was convicted for stating in leaflets that Islam seeks the Islamization of Belgium. Mr. Ferret appealed the decision at the European Court, a Court with seven judgees.
The European court has now upheld the decision of the Belgian court (Dutch), with three judges dissenting. Amongst other things Mr. Ferret will be stripped of his passive democratic rights for the duration of ten years. This means he is not electable for ten years.
If something like this would happen to the leader of the PVV, it would have dire consequnces for the prospects of the party.
The law is becoming increasingly politicized in Europe. The question is whether the rise of rightwing parties in Europe is influencing the European judges. Is the political echelon exerting pressure on judges to eliminate rightwing competion, or are they acting on their own accord? At this level of judging politics and law mesh. It is impossible that political considerations are not a part of the deliberations of the European and national Dutch and Belgian judges.

Do Dutch citizens support EU policy?
As the Dutch political class is in cahoots with the rest of the EU oligarchy, transferring legislative power to the European Commission and the European Court is is important to take a look of their policies are supported by the citizens. Are Dutch citizens becoming more patriotic or do they support strengthening of the power of transnational political bodies?
Researchers inventoried patriotic attitudes of citizens
Researchers from the MigrantenStudies institute inventoried political attitudes of Dutch citizens. The compared attitudes in 2006 with those of 1995. Results were broken down according to educational levels.
The higher educated, the more patriotic
The results show that patriotic attitudes are growing, particularly amongst citizens with MA or BA level education. In 1995 lower educated citizens were most patriotic, medium educated citizens less patriotic and highly educated citizens least patriotic. This scheme has now reversed, with the higher the educational attainments the stronger patriotic sentiments are. This is expressed in stating agreement with statements such "I am proud of the my nation". Dutch citizens of medium education are also becoming more intensely patriotic, but not as much as the highly educated.
Dutch citizens of low educational attainment remain stable in their patriotism or show a slight decline.

Belgium wants an amnesty for illegal citizens

The Belgian Minister of Migration Annemie Turtelboom wants a amnesty for illegal foreigners residing in Belgium. The amnesty is specifically for illegals with children enrolled in Belgian schools. These families are said to be "anchored in Begian society".
The amnesty is said to concern 4,000 to 8,000 people.
Experience with amnesty's shows that:
-the numbers are always much bigger than expected. E.g. when an Israeli Boeing crashed into a apartment complex in Amsterdam South East, a Black African neighbourhood, the Labour dominated municipality managed to wheedle a blanket amnesty form the national government. The news set of a stampede of often Frenchspeaking Africans from Belgium and France who came looking for an easy quick path to EU citizensship. The number of applications was 1,588. A multiple of the number of people that the apartment complex could accomodate.

A fifth seat for the Freedom Party?
Will the Freedom Party be second?
Press agency ANP reported that Geert Wilders' Freedom Party (PVV) may get a fifth seat in the European Parliament (EP). It was widely reported that the PVV stood at 4 seats. But the latest results show more gains for the PVV.
The Christian-Democrats (CDA) still stand at 5 seats. If the PVV gets 5 seats they will be equally large as the CDA and they will be equal to what used to be the biggest Dutch party in the EU parliament. All the other Dutch parties will be smaller than the PVV in Europe.
This may serve as a constant reminder to all the Europhile politicians that there is a strong undercurrent of hostility to greater power to the EU and its institutions.
Voter turnout and legitimacy of the EP
The voter turnout was not impressive. In The Netherlands around 36-37 percent of those eligible to vote, did. This alone should make the legitimacy of the EP, which passes around 80 percent of all legislation of the EU member states, questionable.
Turkey's membership of the EU
The PVV will be able to voice its opposition to allowing Turkey in the EU. It is essential that this country be stopped. Membership of the EU would mean free access of Turkeys 70 million citizens to Europe's Housing and Labour markets. With Turkey's double digit unemployment this would mean a dangerous reinforcement of the existing Turkish and Muslim communities in Europe's towns and cities. Turkey would be the second biggest nation in the EU, measured by population.
Wilders has categorically stated that Turkey can not be a member of the EU. Because it is a Muslim country.
That message must continually be restated in the EP.

They stood at 7 seats and go to 5 seats. Geert Wilders' Freedom Party (PVV) is second. From zero (0) seats to 4 seats.

Eurocommissar Viviane Reding calls for commissioning of Euro-Cyber Police
Establishing an Euro-Cyber Police
On April 27th Eurocommissar Viviane Reding called for the commissioning of a new arm of the Euro Bureaucracy. A Cyber Police, with a status equivalent to the European Foreign Affairs.
"Europe needs a "Mr. Cyber Security" as we have a "Mr. Foreign Affairs" ". A security Tsar with the authority to act immediately if a Cyber Attack is underway."
Mrs. Viviane Reding vowed to "keep fighting for this function to be established as soon as possible."

The Netherlands becoming the playground for far-away disputes
The botched U.S. occupation of Iraq has thrown that country in ever worsening chaos, as was observed by the Gholam-Ali Haddad, Speaker if the Iranian Majlis or Parliament, to Turkish foreign minister Ali Babacan yesterday.
This means that there is has been no central authority in Iraq since 2003. The North of Iraq is Kurdish and is run by the Kurdish allies of the U.S. The Kurds are a minority in Iran, Iraq and Turkey.
The Kurdish allies of the U.S. in North-Iraq are giving refuge to PKK terrorists. The PKK is a Kurdish Communist Army the fights to liberate the Kurdish parts of Turkey. Kurdish separatism is a threat to the territorial integrity of Turkey. Turkey is an aspiring EU member state. Many Kurds and Turks live in Western Europe, especially in Germany and The Netherlands.
Turkey is now attacking PKK positions in north-Iraq. It has threathened to invade Iraq and some of its troops are already on Iraqi soil carrying out operations against the Kurds. Turkey is trying to find support in the region for its anti-Kurdish offensive.
Turkish public opinion is in turmoil over the threat of Kurdish separatism. There have been nationalist demonstrations in several Turkish cities. Demonstrators chant and display nationalist slogans.
Similar convulsions are also taking place in The Netherlands and Germany. In Berlin, Germany and Utrecht, The Netherlands, ethnic Turks demonstrated to express their dismay about the threat of Kurdish separatism. They demanded an invasion of Iraq by the Turkish Army.
Dutch viewers (Dutch) commented on the obvious loyalty of these Dutch-speaking Turks to Turkey. The Turkish diaspora in Western Europe knows exactly where their loyalty lies. It lies with Turkey and Turkish nationalism and goes against the host societies and Kurdish migrants in their host societies.
These demonstration give substance to the allegation by Dutch nationalist leader Geert Wilders that ethnic Turkish citizens have a "double loyalty", and that their loyalty to Turkey trumps their loyalty to The Netherlands.
This means that there is has been no central authority in Iraq since 2003. The North of Iraq is Kurdish and is run by the Kurdish allies of the U.S. The Kurds are a minority in Iran, Iraq and Turkey.
The Kurdish allies of the U.S. in North-Iraq are giving refuge to PKK terrorists. The PKK is a Kurdish Communist Army the fights to liberate the Kurdish parts of Turkey. Kurdish separatism is a threat to the territorial integrity of Turkey. Turkey is an aspiring EU member state. Many Kurds and Turks live in Western Europe, especially in Germany and The Netherlands.
Turkey is now attacking PKK positions in north-Iraq. It has threathened to invade Iraq and some of its troops are already on Iraqi soil carrying out operations against the Kurds. Turkey is trying to find support in the region for its anti-Kurdish offensive.
Turkish public opinion is in turmoil over the threat of Kurdish separatism. There have been nationalist demonstrations in several Turkish cities. Demonstrators chant and display nationalist slogans.
Similar convulsions are also taking place in The Netherlands and Germany. In Berlin, Germany and Utrecht, The Netherlands, ethnic Turks demonstrated to express their dismay about the threat of Kurdish separatism. They demanded an invasion of Iraq by the Turkish Army.
Dutch viewers (Dutch) commented on the obvious loyalty of these Dutch-speaking Turks to Turkey. The Turkish diaspora in Western Europe knows exactly where their loyalty lies. It lies with Turkey and Turkish nationalism and goes against the host societies and Kurdish migrants in their host societies.

No EU referendum in The Netherlands?
The new treaty which is slated to become the EU constitution in 2009.
The Dutch and the French voted against an EU constitution in referenda in 2005.
In The Netherlands the Left is usually for referenda. The other referendum parties are the Liberal - Democrats (D66) and the hardline socialists (SP).
The Dutch Labour Party yesterday decided that it would oppose organising a new referendum to have the population have a say whether essential governmental powers should be ceded to the EU super state, headquartered in Brussels.
Labour decided to trade the referendum against a law that protects workers from getting fired cheaply. The decision was taken by a meeting of Labour MPs. There was no vote, so MP had to go on the record as opposing the referendum.
Convenient.

President of Turkey on Islam and Islam critics
On MEMRI the news on Turkey is that the Islamist Turkish President Erdogan is angry with Westerners who believe in moderate Islam:
"These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it."
We got it on Islamist authority: "No such thing as moderate Islam. It is an insult even"
Yesterday President Erdogan also commented on those who criticize Islamist President-Candidate Gül in the harshest terms:
"The people who say that (Gul is not my president), must renounce their citizenship," quoted Reuters.
The Euro elite is still trying to make this country a EU member state!

Criminalizing speech in the EU
The Brussels Journal reported a few days ago on new EU legislation being prepared by the European Commission. It is currently under review by the Council of Ministers, the ad hoc council of Justice Ministers of all European countries that approves legislation prepared by the European Commission.
The legislation is intended to stifle freedom of speech and action in all EU member states under the guise of "fighting racism and xenophobia". This kind of legislation is remniscent of the 1936 Constitution of the Soviet Union. It is concerning that the EU is attempting to legislate the criminal code of the member states.
The EU laws will in effect be quite powerless unless they are actually enforced by the national judiciaries of the EU member states. So what is the record with regards to surpression of speech enforcement in The Netherlands?
Free Speech takes of in The Netherlands
During the 2001-2002 Pim Fortuyn upheaval Dutch speech codes were relaxed. There was increased freedom to debate matters and government agencies released studies with politically incorrect finding, such as the overrepresentation of non-western foreigners in violent crime. As a result speech and action (hiring) are more free in The Netherlands than in other parts of the EU, especially Germany and Belgium. Still, article 1 of the Dutch constitution remained unchanged, including the part amended by Communist Marcus Bakker, that outlaws ethnic and religious discrimination by the public, rather than discrimination by the state that was the original portent of article 1.
Recently Vlaams Belang leader Dewinter recognized this greater freedom when he stated that he would apply for political asylum if the Belgian legislature would pass a law that would make exclude anyone convicted of "racism" from seeking political office.
With the new government of Labour, with Christian Democrats and Christian Union this freedom is under threat. Not only Labour politicians but also the Christian politicians are making ominious noises.

Yesterday, Christian Democrat Justice Minister Hirsch Ballin presented a new foundation dedicated to "combat racism and xenophobia" in addition to the organisations already existing, such as subsidised internet watchdog MDI and the special desks of the police for discrimination. The new organisation is called "Art. 1" after the Communist subverted article 1 of the Dutch constitution. The foundation was actually "enshrined" at Parliament by chiselling the text of article 1 of the Dutch constitution in a stone bench on the square of the Parliament building "Binnenhof".
The budget of the agency
The national government has an 6 million Euro annual budget item for such anti-discrimination desks. "Art. 1" wants it doubled. Justice Minister Ballin also promised that the prosecution department (OM) will intensify its hunt against dicriminatory hiring practices and "hate speech".
The head of the agency
The man appointed to head the new foundation is a Mr. Herman Meijer (Dutch). Mr. Meijer is a professional homosexual, a member of the radical gay-rights movement. He belongs to the Green Party ("Groen Links"). The Greens are a amalgam of a pacifist, the Communist and the Christian Leftist (EVP)Parties. Mr. Meijer is both a former card carrying Pacifist and a Communist. This man has now appointed himself to head a state-subsidised quasi-governemental organisation. The subsidy adds insult to injury, as politically incorrect Conservatives such as myself are forced to fund with our taxes the very organisation that disenfranchises us.

But that is not all. Mr. Meijer is an activist for pedophile rights. He is closely connected to activists that advance the "rights" of pedophiles as a part of his political activities and writings. He is an organiser of the infamous "Love of fellow man, Freedom and Diversity Party" ("Partij van Naastenliefde, Vrijheid en Diversiteit"). This party tried to take part in the 2006 election advocating rights of pedophiles, but met with such hostility that it never came to anything.
Breaking contracts
It is a sign of the times that immoral personal conduct is ADVOCATED by people on positions of highest political power. Diversity of opinion, necessary for debate in a free society regarding the reconcilability of ethnic, religious and national differences is criminalised. Though the latter a mere opinions and the former are actual breaches of the contract of society. This is general in the West.

Finally what this reveals again is the utter contempt with which the Dutch political class regards the public. Despite the fact that 2006 again showed there is enormous hostility against pedophilia in the country, Mr. Meyers was made head of the anti-heterodoxy foundation regardless.

Under the Conservative Aznar government in the 90ies economic growth was high as a result of curbing government spending and lowering taxes. Unemployment fell to 7,6 percent, which is still too high. Under the present Socialist government economic growth is faltering.
The business lobby, especially of big business in agriculture, construction and tourism, with are always hungry for achieving competitive advantages against smaller businesses by gaining cheap and docile labour is recruiting on a big scale in Morocco. Morroccans are notoriously difficult to intergrate into European society.
The social and economic costs of this immigration are dumped on larger society. As soon as the immigrant gain rights in Spain they will be replaced by newer, cheaper labour. They will then go on the dole, and bring in relatives who will receive state support at the expense of the tax payer.
And it will not just be the Spanish tax payer. Due to the 1985 Schengen treaty, the immigrants can freely travel and live all across the EU, so they may well end up in other countries were the state is more generous, i.e. the more northern European countries, such as Germany and The Netherlands.
As a German idiom has it: "Consequenses lead to Satan"
