Facing immigration waves

Nations faced with a wave of immigration from a different civilization have to gain understanding of the invading civilization. European nations have been flooded with Muslims for the past 40 years. As a result there is a great need to inform policy makers, administrators and the public at large.

Lucis: a Dutch light on Islam

In response to this need a new institute for the study of Islam (Dutch) was opened in the University of Leiden, The Netherlands on October the 14th. One of the speakers invited was the Mayor of Amsterdam: Job Cohen (Labour Party). Mayor Cohen's city has a large Muslim population, you see.

Mayor Cohen's New Insights

At the opening of the institute Mayor Cohen charged that university experts (Dutch) do not manage to get the correct opinions accross to key audiences. In Mayor Cohen's view this is the cause of "politically incorrect" debating by Dutch politics and media. Mayor Cohen calls these views of Islam "views lacking in nuance". Job the Mayor called upon the fellows of the new institute to make sure that

their scientific knowledge and insights will not remain enclosed by the wall around the academic world. Universities have a societal responsability. Islam is more than a religion. It is a political factor and a social, cultural and historical phenomenon. There is so much to say about this Islam that scientific reflections may be of help. Reflections on Islam encompass the Muslim world and the everyday world which Muslims inhabit. Questions that ought to be answered are: is Islam a religion of violence? Is the Netherlands Islamizing? Is Islam be unreformable and therefore backward? Can Islam live together with Western democracy and the rule of law?

Mayor Cohen's Shtick

all attention in debating Islam in The Netherlands goes to "radical" Islam, although radical Islam is only a minor part of the totality of that religion. Moreover the debate is polluted with matters such as crime and anti-social behaviour. Because Dutchmen are not ridding themselves of this one-sided view the average Muslim is left in the cold.

What is the significance of Cohen's presence at LUCIS?

The fact that Mayor Cohen was invited to the opening of the new Leiden University institute indicates that he was involved in securing its funding. The other speakers at the opening are all connected to the academe and there is the Dutch Secretary General of NATO Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. Mr. De Hoop Scheffer and Mr. Cohen are not noted for their knowledge of Islam. But they are known for their expertise at managing purse strings. And he who pays, calls the tune. In his speech Mayor Cohen made clear which two messages he wants to hear from the LUCIS institute. One: he wants LUCIS to tell HIM what ISLAM is really about. He wants the institute to answer questions such as:

"is Islam a religion of violence?"

This is a remarkable question for someone of Job Cohen's convictions. It may be an indication that Mr. Cohen is starting to doubt the multi-cultural creed. But to the general public Mr. Job Cohen wants another tune played. He is clearly instructing LUCIS to influence the media and the debate in such a way that the tendency of

... Dutchmen ... not ridding themselves of this one-sided view ...

is countered. Thus LUCIS is the latest effort to fool the Dutch public while handing the class of political experts and managers real insights.

What is the significance of Job the Mayor?

Well, Mr. Job Cohen is the mayor of the biggest city of The Netherlands. A city with nearly a hundred thousand Muslims. Right now his party, Labour, is doing exceedingly bad in the polls and at an all time low. In fact Labour is down to about a third of their usual votes and may occupy not even ten percent of the seats in Parliament if the polls are anything to go by.

Mr. Cohen's next step up

Mr. Job Cohen is an unusually gifted administrator and there are many people in the Labour party who want him to join the leadership of Labour at the national level. He could even be the new leader of Labour in the next round of elections. No matter what the exact distribution of seats is going to be, all mayor political parties will be culled and Labour will be a necessary part of any broad, multi-party coalition which will be formed. This three- or four-party coalition will NOT include Geert Wilder's Freedom Party (PVV) and will try to implement the usual Multi-Cultural policies that the political class has managed to foist on the Dutch public for the past 40 years.

How does LUCIS fit in all this?

And then LUCIS, the new Ministry of Truth, will come mighty handy to Mr. Cohen and his political cronies in The Netherlands and in NATO.

A year ago Freedom Party (PVV) leader Geert Wilders was denied entry to Great Britain for debating Islam in the House of Lords. This on the grouds that he was a danger to community relations.

Yesterday a British judge overturned the decision to bar entry to this peaceful man. A democratically elected politician.

Anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders should not have been refused entry to Britain to attend a screening of his film Fitna earlier this year, a British immigration tribunal ruled on Tuesday.

Dutch bank DSB in heavy seas

DSB bank sinking?

A minor and politically well connected bank in The Netherlands in in deep problems after its solvency came in doubt in the past week. Last Sunday Finance Minister Wouter Bos, (Labour Party) had emergency regulations imposed on DSB bank. The bank was bleeding liquidity as the public was doubting whether the bank was solid. The Dutch public was shocked when accounts were frozen and people could only draw limited amounts of money to pay their bills.

Political connection reflect badly on the Government

DSB bank was a bank with aggressive sales policies for instance in the field of mortgages and insurance. They had several VVD politicians on their Board of Directors amongst them Gerrit Zalm, former Finance Minister. During the Financial crisis Gerrit Zalm was recalled by the government as a special advisor. He is regarded as one of the most influential advisors of the Ministry of Finance. With the demise of the DSB bank the authority of this advisor and the Minister of Finance and the Government as a whole have taken a serious hit.

The judiciary, the police, the banks, the Government. All institutions seem to be failing the Dutch.

Row over Wilders splits Unions

Sunday this blog featured a story about talks between Geert Wilders' Freedom Party (PVV). On Monday this story was already overtaken by events.

FNV will not talk pensions with Wilders

The FNV trade union federation said on Monday it would not take up Geert Wilders' invitation for a meeting to discuss ways to campaign against the government's plans to put up the state pension age to 67.

The statement follows a major row over an interview with FNV leader Agnes Jongerius in the Volkskrant on Saturday in which she says she is open to talks with Wilder's anti-immigration party PVV.

'The commotion over last weekend gives the impression that the FNV was looking for an alliance with the PVV,' the country's biggest union group said in a statement. 'A meeting would strengthen this wrong impression even more.'

In the interview, which was approved by Jongerius herself, she says she is open to talking to the anti-immigration party.

'Wilders' solution for the pension age increase - an end to immigration, the expulsion of all Muslims and and end to left-wing tinkering - is not mine,' Jongerius was quoted as saying in the paper. 'But I will happily talk to the PVV. Up until now they have brushed off every approach. But on budget day PVV MP Tony van Dijck said we must talk. ...that talk will absolutely take place.'

Resignation calls

The civil service union Abvakabo in particular is completely opposed to any form of working together with the PVV. Some union branches have said they will call on Jongerius to resign unless she distances herself from the remarks.

'You do not talk with the group like the PVV,' Peter de Pagter, of the Amstel-Kennemerland branch of Abvakabo was quoted as saying in the Volkskrant. 'It is a racist organisation.'

Websites are also full of shocked FNV members sayin they plan to quit. Other people say they will join the trade union because of its new stance on the PVV.

What happens here shows the amount of institutional and societal opposition to the new nationalist political contender, the PVV. It wil be quite a while before the PVV will be able to exert power commensurate to their level of electoral support.

Dutch nationalists courted by Labour Unions

As a result of the looming electoral collapse of the Labour Party and the growth of the support for the populist and nationalist Freedom Party (PVV) institutions in Dutch society are starting to court the PVV as a part of their political activity.

The Chairman of the Labour Party affilliated FNV (Federation of Dutch Trade Unions) Agnes Jongerius is seeking an alliance with the PVV (Dutch). The goal is to twarth the plans of the Cabinet to raise the pension age to 65 from 67. Geert Wilders has declared himself against the plans to raise the pension age. He linked the issue to the cost of immigration, which are estimated at 216 Billion Euros since 1970.

The trade union chairman said she would ally with satan in order to stop raising the pension age. The government is expected to decide on the raising of the pension age by the end of this week. The growing leftist party SP is also dead set against raising the pension age.

In a reaction to the plans of the FNV Labour Union the Christian CNV was opposed to cooperation with the blond satan Geert Wilders. Deputy Chairman Bert van Boggelen of the CNV said that there should be no alliances with political parties which wish to "exclude" groups of the population. The CNV has earlier shown to be a supporter of multiculturalism against the wishes of its membership. In 2006 the Christian Labour Union CNV initiated a proposal that the Muslim festival of Eid ul Fitr was to be made a a national holiday. To the shock of its membership.

The Chairman of the Union of Civil Servants (Abvakabo) Edith Snoey also opposed the move by the highest echelon of the Labour Unions. She said that the only contacts should be limited to the parliamentary contacts of the Labour Unions.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) released new guidelines limiting the freedom of US bloggers. The caps are on freedom are in the field of endorsement. For instance on reviewing a book or a movie.

If you are a blogger in the US your life is about to change big-time.

You have just entered the Twilight Zone...

New FTC guidelines (read full version) described in the official press release state:

1 - "the post of a blogger who receives cash or in-kind payment to review a product is considered an endorsement. Thus, bloggers who make an endorsement must disclose the material connections they share with the seller of the product or service."

and

2 - the revised Guides reflect Commission case law and clearly state that both advertisers and endorsers may be liable for false or unsubstantiated claims made in an endorsement - or for failure to disclose material connections between the advertiser and endorsers. The revised Guides also make it clear that celebrities have a duty to disclose their relationships with advertisers when making endorsements outside the context of traditional ads, such as on talk shows or in social media."

My reading of this is very disturbing.

Here is a possible scenario:

1. You - a "social media" "celebrity" "blogger" (this is anyone who has more than a few followers on Twitter or some number of subscribers to their blog RSS feed) reviews a book, product, or service - making it an "endorsement"
2. You got a copy of the book to review, or got a free trial of the product, or a free trial of the service
3. You did not mention the freebie in your blog post
4. If someone does not like your blog posting you can be sued

Freedom Party wins another seat in Brussels

Freedom Party (PVV) is on a roll!

It took a while. But Geert Wilders' Freedom Party (PVV) will get a 5th seat in the EU Parliament (EP) in Brussels. According to the otherwise desastrous Lisbon Treaty The Netherlands will get an extra seat in the EP. This seat will go to the second biggest fraction, the PVV. This will make the PVV as big as the Christian Democrats (CDA) in the EP. It is an portent of things to come in The Netherlands.

So you see how it works. If you are functional and employed you are taxed by the state. Your money is taken from you. In return you are not protected by the state. The state gives the money to those who are violent and prey on the law-abiding. The lawless are also assisted to do what the law-abiding do without state assistence.

Is it not time that the state would crack down on criminals, expells them and restore justice, law and order while lowering the tax burden on the law abiding citizens of The Netherlands? Dutchmen can now vote for such a program: the PVV's. In the polls it is the biggest party already. Meanwhile the media are rife with speculation on the collapse of the Labour Party, the party of Marcouch the Messenger.

Dollar loses reserve status

Seignorage and Empire

Every era has a reserve currency. This reserve currency is the currency all trading partners accept as payment. The state that produces the reserve currency is said to possess seignorage. This is the profit associated with the ability to buy real things with money that was created out of nothing.

What happens if an empire loses the possession of seignorage?

The US Dollar empire

Between say 1713 and 1929 the Pound Sterling was the reserve currency. After 1945 the US Dollar was the global reserve currency, backed up by the vast productive power of US industry. The US Dollar had been pegged to gold at 35 US Dollar an ounce between 1934 and 1972. After 1972 the US Dollar along with all currencies in use were backed by trade flows. Currencies were floating up and down. Money could be created by central banks by expanding credit.

But the position of the US Dollar had weakened by unpegging it from gold. More and more international trades were done in currencies like the Deutschmark and the Yen. Despite the weakening position of the US Dollar commodities like oil, rubber, coffee and goods like airplanes and arms continued to be traded in US Dollars. A problem of an international trading system with floating currencies is the inherent insecurity of international merchants and traders. They never know what their returns will be, which hinders trade. This also disrupts the taxes that are levied on their trade, which fill the coffers of states that manage the international order.

The US milked the US Dollar for what it was worth, recklessly expanding the money supply with cheap credit. This way the elites could keep expanding an intrusive managerial state and a international empire with roughly 800 Army, Navy and Airforce bases around the world.

The beginning of the end of the US Dollar as a reserve currency

But expanding the money supply by easy credit led to a succession of boom bust cycles in the 1990ies and thereafter. After every bust the US flogged the economy back to life again by expanding credit. The biggest bust came in 2007. The political and monetary elites reacted by giving the same treatment again. The FED created the biggest expansion of credit thus far, to prop up their hollowed out financial institutions, vastly expanding government debt, adding to the household debt and showing up in a unbalanced trade balance with Asia.

The American public is eyeing the new debts warily. And the international trading partners of the US are increasingly wondering about the worth of the currency that is created so recklessly. The trading partners must worry about the ability of the US taxpayer to service the government debt burden in addition to their private debt burdens. Not to mention that the interest on the debts are choking off buying power of US households. Unless said households increase the rate at which they take on new debts, which they prudently seem unwilling to do.

What is the alternative?

There is no currency to take the place of the US Dollar in international trade. To set prices, act as a medium of exchange and a reliable unit of value. Now however a new currency is being worked on behind the scenes.

No Dollars for oil, because the US Dollar is an increasingly unreliably unit of value.

moving instead to a basket of currencies including the Japanese yen and Chinese yuan, the euro, gold and a new, unified currency

This would provide a solution for the unit of value, pricing and exchange medium challenges a new currency would face. The Middle East, Russia as suppliers of raw materials plus Asia and Europe as suppliers of finished goods would possibly be able to manage their trade flows in this way.

The timeline

When will the new currency come about? It will take 9 years.

The current deadline for the currency transition is 2018

In the mean time gold will be used as a stop gap to fill the place of the US Dollar. Expect the gold price to rise against the US Dollar. It is now at more than 900 US Dollars for an ounce, up from 35 US Dollars per ounce between 1934 and 1972.

The consequenses for the US

If oil would be traded in a new currency, it would be a big hit for the US. The US Dollar would lose reserve currency status. The demand for US Dollars would fall and the exchange rate would fall. The central government of the US would lose the profits of seignorage. Prosperity for US citizens would drop as import prices rise. In the short term the shock to the US political and social system would be sharp. On the other hand US made goods would become cheaper and manufacturing and employment in the US would actually increase in the MEDIUM TERM at the expense of Europe and Asia.

Collapse of the Empire

Political conflict in the US will intensify if the government will not be able to create money at no cost. Politicians will have to cut budgets. This would break up the internal or external empire of the US. Possibly both.

The internal empire

The internal empire is the empire which the US proper has become. The territory of the US now contains in addition to the White core nation plus Blacks millions of Asians and dozens of millions of Mexicans plus significant numbers of other unimportant minorities. Without cheap money to pay for an expanding military, bureaucracies and welfare millions would be without jobs, status, income and access to healthcare in addition to the number who are already there. Politically it would cause all these groups to become more confrontational and to view politics like a zero sum game, a game were one party´s loss is the other parties gain. Especially the Mexicans and Whites are likely to collide over the possession of some of the Southern states of the US.

And this coincides with the rule of the nation´s first non-white President.

The external empire

The external empire are the network of military bases the US maintains around the globe, dominating the world militarily and politically. Without cheap funding the political elites could decide to withdraw in the manner of the Soviet Union withdrawing from Central Asia and Eastern Europe in 1989.

Withdrawing from the external empire would cause wars breaking out accross the globe, in Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. Conflict which were hitherto surpressed by the US would come to the fore. Getting the situation under control requires a new empire or several new empires.

People will be nostalgic for the lost US empire, in the way they are nostalgic for the Soviet Union of the Yugoslav Federation.

In the last month Freedom Party MP (PVV) Sietse Fritsma has been asking Dutch government ministries what their immigrant related costs are and how they relate to the costs of native Dutchmen. He has also asked questions about the revenue of the state related to immigrants. He has forecast the result that immigrants ON AVERAGE cost more than they bring in.

The question by the Freedom Party (PVV) about the cost of immigration was not answered by Eberhard van der Laan, the responsible Minister. Despite the fact that article 67 of the Constitution instructs ministers to answer questions from Parliament. Mr. van der Laan argued that he did not want to devide the population in groups and have costs and revenues calculated accordingly.

An estimate goes mainstream

A mainstream Dutch magazine Elsevier calculated the cost of immigration at 13 billion Euros annually out of a 877 billion GDP. The tally was a total of 216 billion, for a limited number of items, excluding for instance the total damages of the high immigrant crime rates.

Throwing in pension age to make the brew more potent

The resistance against calculating and making public the costs of colonization by non-westerners of The Netherlands is strong. The PVV is going to make it one of the most important issues in their campaigns and is now connecting the issue to the age that citizens can start their pensions. The other parties want to raise this age in order to counter the effect of the aging of the population. This will extent the interest of the electorate from to right wing voters to include left wing voters and possibly make the PVV a national party.

Western decline is population decline

All Western countries will have to deal with these questions eventually. The decline of economies and the resulting inability of the state to provide income and services to its clients will force these issues to the forefront.

Contrary to what political elites tell the public, immigration is not an economic gain for receiving nations. The problem of aging populations will not be softened by third world immigration, but exacerbated by it.

Labour Party falling apart

The big parties are doing badly

The polls are showing remarkable results in The Netherlands. Before I mentioned that the Freedom Party (PVV) is polling at 27-28 seats. The other parties are in terrible shape. A big parties such as the Christian Democrats is polling at a number of seats of 22 in the 150 seat Parliament. This party used to have more then 30 seats all the time. But the most remarkable result is the result of the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA), by being reduced to 14 seats. That is less than 10 percent of the electorate!

A big reason that Labour is doing so badly is their pro-multicultural stance, combined with the economic crisis and the proposals to push the pension age from 65 to 67. Voters are running away to the Left, staying at home or even voting for the PVV.

In Germany things are similar. The SPD, the German Labour Party (German), polled at a all time low of 23 percent during the recent elections. Main reason was a proposal to move the pension age from 65 up to 67.

Is Geert Wilders serious?

Since Geert Wilders founded the Freedom Party (PVV) his opponents have been charging that he and his party have no solutions for the problems they diagnose.

But this is getting hard to maintain, now that other parties are starting to adopt PVV proposals.

In 2007 Minister of Intergation Ella Vogelaar said that it was not a problem that more and more muslim women were walking in public fully covered by a burqa. In reaction Geert Wilder proposed a motion to ban the burqa (Dutch) from public space in The Netherlands.

This week the Mayor of Amsterdam, Job Cohen a Labour politician proposed to withhold welfare from people wearing a Burqa. The proposal received sympathetic treatment from the Christian Democrats (CDA) and Labour (PvdA) parties.

Wilders shows himself to be an effective politician

This is not quite a ban, but definitely shows that Wilders'proposals make more sense than his opponents care to admit.

Freedom Party undermines its reputation

Hero Brinkman the police officer and politician

One of the rising stars in the 9 man Freedom Party (PVV) parliamentary fraction is Hero Brinkman. Mr. Hero Brinkman is a Saxon Dutchman from the town of Almelo. He was a hardline police officer in Amsterdam for many years and a harsh critic of the Labour dominated politicians there. He was an effective enemy of the squatters and drug dealers.



The Dutch Antilles and Mr. Brinkman

He joined the PVV when it was founded in 2005. After the elections he became a MP. One of his specialties is Home Affairs. Mr. Brinkman puts special emphasis on the relations with the remaining parts of the Dutch empire. The Dutch Antilles. These are six islands in the Caribbean, three of which are not far from the coast of Venezuela. The Islands have deeply corrupt governments. Also they send their underclass to The Netherlands, where they are infamous for their very high gun related crime.

Sell them to Venezuela

The PVV policy with regards to the Antilles is that they should become independent or as Geert Wilders puts it rethorically: "sold to Venezuela". This policy is popular with the Dutch population who are becoming wary of subsidizing the Dutch Antilles and being unable to stem immigration of Antillians to The Netherlands. Mr. Brinkman's language towards the Antilles has been very harsh and it has given him a lot of profile amongst the Dutch voters. As a result he is the second man within the PVV after Mr. Geert Wilders. This has also given a certain independence, which is unusual within the PVV.

Mr. Brinkman has used this independence to fraternize with Dutch parliamentary journalists in Nieuwpoort, a club in Dutch Parliament for MPs and journalists, against Wilders' stricture against socializing with the uniformly leftleaning journos. Everything that happens at Nieuwpoort is strictly confidential and all remarks made there are of the cuff. This is called the "Nieuwpoort code". Last week Mr. Brinkman got drunk in Nieuwpoort. When a bartender refused to serve a drink to him, Mr. Brinkman went behind the bar and served himself. There was also a scuffle with the bartender. Next day, despite the "Nieuwpoort code" this damaging fact became news on TV and the newspapers. It was alleged that he had hit the bartender.

Wilders takes the situation in hand

Mr. Wilders acted quickly. Mr. Hero Brinkman had to publish a statement that he had a drinking problem and was working on it. He denied having hit the bartender and apologized for the scuffle. Potentially this could have been very damaging to the PVV. In the event the quick action by Mr. Geert Wilders kept the damage limited. It showed that he had been right about the rule not to fraternize with journos as the "Nieuwpoort code" was suddenly not in effect when a PVV MP made a slip.

Recent opinion polls show that the electoral damage to the PVV is limited to a drop from 28 to 27 seats in the 150 seat Parliament. The other parties were not able to take advantage of the PVV kerfuffle.

Violence amongst African descended population

On the 27th of August IslaminEurope.net featured a story on the shootings amongst Blacks in the Black neighbourhood Zuid-Oost (South-East). The level of violence in an area of perhaps 9 square kilometers is unusually high by Dutch standards. In 2009 there have been 22 registered shoot-outs. Three people got killed. The last deadly shoot-out was on the 22th of September. It took the life of a 19 year old Carribean black rapper Ishmael Gumbs (Dutch). He had immigrated from the Carribean 2 years ago. He was shot in full view of playing children in a quarrel over an insult to the girlfriend of the killer.

Random shootings?

According to the police the shootings are not related. The cause of the shoot-outs may be insults or conflicts over drug deals. The things the shoot-outs have in common is the Racial background of the shooters and the locality.

Dutch politics thrown in chaos

Confusion reigns on the political polling front in The Netherlands. This blog reported a month ago that the Freedom Party (PVV) was losing seats. But now the news came out today that the PVV is polling at 28 seats in the 150 seat parliament. The other "big" parties have fallen to 22 seats or less. Therefore the PVV is now the biggest political party in the Netherlands! It also means that the theme of political splintering that this blog has featured is continuing and that Dutch politics will be increasingly paralysed and chaotic. Comparable to Belgium now or Israel for the past twenty years.

The state of political polling

It also seems that one of the polling firms, Political Barometer by Synovate, has lost the plot. The bi-weekly poll first reported a big increase for the PVV of 9 seats together. And then in a later published poll (Dutch) a big drop in seats which showed the PVV losing ground and grasping.

Unorthodoxy rules

On the third Tuesday of September The Netherlands has an annual "State of the Union" like event called "Prinsjesdag". The politicos of the ruling coalition gave a weak and unconvincing show. Geert Wilders performed masterfully giving a sarcasm-laced speech in which he compared the cabinet to a car with a dead battery. In the speech he went as far as proposing a headscarf tax, a tax specifically aimed at muslim women.

That was highly unorthodox and many people feel uneasy about it. Including me. But it does not to seem to have hurt him.

We could call him "Teflon Geert".

On being prepared in Europe

Crime is rising in the Netherlands as I wrote on IslaminEurope in May. And the State is losing the ability to project law and order.

As a result one may wonder how the citizens react. The citizens of The Netherlands cannot arm themselves nor form militias. But they can hire security. And they do.

Turnover of private security grows strongly

The turnover of the private security industry (Dutch) has grown in 2008 with 10.2 percent up to 1.43 billion Euros. Today 30,700 people are working in the Dutch security industry. This is shown by figures published by security industry association VPB.

Employment rose by almost 3,000 full time jobs compared to 2007. The largest part of the turnover is made in securing real estate such as offices, companies, schools and institutions. The rest is airport security (13 percent) and mobile patrolling (14 percent).

Even so the sector has felt the economic downturn. According to the VPB 44 percent of all security firms a lowering of turnover in the first quarter of 2009. 36 percent of all firms report stable figures.

It is to be expected though that the private security sector will continue to grow as the worsening economic crisis fuels rising crime rates.

A hidden conflict of the hardline Islamist organization Milli Görüs with a former partner is coming out in the open. The partner is building corporation Stadgenoot. The conflict is about payments outstanding and promises broken by Milli Görüs. Stadgenoot has seized assets such as bank accounts. It is now seizing a mosque belonging to Milli Görüs in Amersfoort and preparing to auction it off.

Mayor: Dutch against asylum seekers

Do the people agree with mass immigration?

Europe is being ruthlessly transformed by wave after wave of non-western immigration. Because European countries are democratic one would expect that the people agree with the transformation because they are not opposing it. Or is it perhaps more complicated and is the absense of political opposition the result of subtle political repression? A Dutch mayor, Eric van Oosterhout (Labour), has implicitly said so. He said that if it was up to Dutch citizens, no asylum seekers would ever be housed in The Netherlands. The mayor of the rustic Dutch town of Aa en Hunze, said this on 3FM, a Dutch radio station (Dutch).

With regards to opening a asylum seekers center against the wishes of the local population the words he used where:

we are defending a minority interest here, and such an interest should not be influenced by the majority. If the state would listen to the citizens not one more asylum seeker would be housed. You may call it authoritarian - but I call it accepting one's responsibility.

Dutch mayors are appointed and they are hand picked from a pool of 30.000 active members of the political parties. This is a narrow caste of satraps, which does not fear political competition for their positions. Hence the electorate, the citizenry has been made powerless. Enabling the satraps to overwhelm the Dutch nation and the other nations of Europe.

The media

Things are moving though. DJ Giel Beelen (Dutch) of the Labour affiliated VARA radio said it was irresponsible to increase funds to pay for asylum seeker in the midst of an economic crisis.

Christian Democrats feel the heat

Today the Christian Democrats (CDA) mentioned that the number of brides imported by Muslims (Dutch) is still too high. The leader of the parliamentary fraction of the CDA, Pieter van Geel, proposed a plan to reduce the number of immigrants by making the language test more difficult. In addition the immigrants are to have a level of professional education in order to be able to immigrate into The Netherlands.

This proposal shows that Dutch political parties are aligning themselves with Freedom Party (PVV) of Geert Wilders.

No intermarriage between ethnic Dutch or highly educated Muslims

An important indicator of the distance that a social group has to other groups is their willingness to intermarry with other groups. Less intermarriage is more social distance. So how big is the social distance Muslims in Europe keep vis-a-vis e.g. ethnic Dutch?

A Dutch Sociologist Jochem Tolsma wrote a study called "Ethnic Competition and Opposition to Ethnic Intermarriage in the Netherlands" (HT Esther).

Highly educated Turks and Moroccans of the second generation prefer not marrying a Dutch person. The cultural difference are yet too great.

This according to a study which sociologist Jochem Tolsma will present on September 28 at Radboud University Nijmegen for his doctor's degree.

According to Tolsma highly educated Turks and Moroccan of the second and third generation have a much different standing in society than one would expect.

Tolsma shows in his study that they are still distant from ethnic Dutch, just as their parents who emigrated to the Netherlands as guest workers.

They also don't have high regard for ethnic Dutch.

Us and them

The quote illustrates the hostility the Muslims feel towards the nations that they colonize. I asked the question how big the social distance is between the Muslims and the Europeans. In one generation the rate of intermarriage has remained the same. While other indicators like education have improved spectacularly.

Ingratitude

The Muslims also have a low regard for the ethnic Dutch who granted them access to their society, to jobs, houses and the best education in the world, sought after by the best and the brightest of every civilization.

This education was paid for not by the immigrant Muslims but by the Europeans who created the knowledge and the educational institutions that pass the knowledge on.

Two worlds

The Muslims do not start walking. Despite all the gates that have been opened to them. Yes, walls have been thrown down to accomodate their passage. And if THEY do not move is there any change that WE and THEM ever come together as ONE?

According to Dr. Lizzy van Leeuwen Geert Wilders' grandmother on his mother's side is Johanna Meijer a Jewess. The maternal grandfather of Mr. Wilders married Johanna Meijer in Indonesia during the colonial era. Appearently the Meijer family was a well-know Dutch-Jewish family in Indonesia.

The article charges into the ridiculous when Dr. van Leeuwen also states that Mr. Wilders peroxides his hair in order to hide his non-white Indonesian ancestry. O, and Dr. van Leeuwen mentions that many Dutch people in the Dutch East Indies supported the Dutch Facist Movement (NSB). What the ....?

The use of opposing the centre of politics

Geert Wilders is the politician at the centre of Dutch politics. This is proven by the observation that if a politician wants to get some attention he attacks Mr. Wilders in order to enhance their own status.

The The Hague elections

An example is The Hague aelderman of Housing Marnix Norder (Dutch). He wants to move up to become the leader of Labour in The Hague. He says:

If the Freedom Party (PVV) will become the biggest party in The Hague, the city will become an anarchy. Be afraid, be very afraid. I suppose that many citizens who are considering to vote for Geert Wilders, will know that too. They will want someone of substance. Vote for society for solutions. And not for the hatred and totalitarion nonsense of Wilders.

But earlier in the interview he was quoted to say:

Voters are angry obout how little control they have on their neighbourhood. And they are sick and tired of having their values disrespected by people in their neighbourhood with a different cultural background.

What will aelderman Norder do once his party gets a majority in the city council? Says aelderman Norder:

I think that citizens must be able influence the use of the police and the public prosecutor. [...] If there is a recurring security issue in a neighbourhood the municipal council, rather than the agreements between the mayor, the first public prosecutor and the chief of police [who now decide about the use of the forces of Law and Order] should be able to direct the use of the police. This implies a limitation on the power of the mayor and more control for citizens.

This is a radically new proposal by aelderman Norder. The reason that now finally the control over Law and Order is moved away from the appointed functionaries such as the mayor, the public prosecutor and the chief of police to a citizen elected body, such as the municipal council would never have happened without the spectre of the PVV becoming the dominant party in The Hague politics. The voters are smart enough to realize that they got this power due to the Freedom Party appearing and many of them will hold on to this control by giving their vote to the Freedom Party.

The multicultural society is the central issue

Getting back to my point about opposing Wilders: the centre of Dutch politics. In the The Hague municipal elections Geert Wilders will not be electable, but instead the campaign will feature local PVV-politicians. But Dutch politicians such as Norder have an intense desire to personalize issues as if it is just about Mr. Wilders. However, the issues will not go away if Mr. Wilders dissappears. As was seen with Pim Fortuyn. Fortuyn was assassinated, but Wilders picked up Fortuyn's standard.

The real issue is the failure of the multicultural society and ideology. That is the true centre of Dutch politics. Wilders just the mouth of the Dutch citizenry.

Afghanistan: Karzai has nothing to work with

The centre cannot hold

If a country, a nation is to become one, achieve unity it needs a centre. Afghanistan, has in its history never really had national unity, it was an empire dominated by Paytans since its conception in 1770.

After the northern tribes, represented by a bunch of warlords together with the CIA and the USAF defeated the Taliban a tribal head named Karzai was made President of Afghanistan.

But Karzai does not have a power base. In the struggle between the Taliban and the pro-western Afghan "government" the only real power are the Taliban. This is brought out by a fragment of a long article on Karzai in the New York Times by Elisabeth Rubin. At some point Kabul is rocked by 6 hours of riots against foreigners and the U.S. Forces there and an abservers is quoted to say:

I felt really bad for him,” Jawed Ludin recalled. Karzai was so alone. He continued to watch the riot footage in his back room, trying to glean the plot. “I realized that, at that time, he had no dependable instrument of power,” Ludin said. “He didn’t have the money, the police, the intelligence. He had nothing.

Things fall apart.

And this in a nutshell is why the pro-western alliance in Afghanistan will fail.

Germany: multiculturalism waning

A rising tide of opposition to multiculturalism

During the state elections in Germany, the patriotic Pro-Deutschland movement achieved some remarkable results in the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen. The state has 18 million inhabitants.

The election results for 31 August 2009

According to a press release on the website of the Pro-Deutschland movement in Nordrhein-Westfalen (German) the following percentages of the vote were chalked up:

5.4 in the city of Cologne
6.0 in the city of Bergheim
5.1 in the city of Radevormwald
4.5 in the city of Dormagen
4.3 in the city of Gelsenkirchen
4.0 in the city of Leverkusen

What can the opposition do?

The results shows that a viable political opposition to multiculturalism is developing in Germany. Compare it to the increasing strength of localist parties in The Netherlands in the late 90ies. This development paved the way for the results of Pim Fortuyn and Geert Wilders between 2001 and 2009.

Africa in Europe: the police response

African populations and social disfunction

In a my post a week ago about Africans in Europe I mentioned the disfunctional behaviour of Africans abroad. I include people descended from African populations in to create the grouping `Africans`.

The response by the police

There news is that the Dutch police and bureaucrats are getting more and more concerned with African violence. Amsterdam Police Chief Welten (Dutch) stated that a lot of the violence by Caribbeans was caused by or inluenced by rappers. According to the Police Chief a lot of the violence was motiveless. The rappers glorify violence and those who use violence. It can be said that the rappers promote gang membership. These gangs engage in burglaries, prostitution and drug smuggling and dealing.

Combatting gang membership

It is not clear what the Police Chief wants to do about the glorifying of violence. The measures the Police Chief proposed was using legislation that was introduced to combat organized crime by taxing criminals to death on violent gang members. This way the gold jewellery and expensive cars of gang members can be confiscated. This would take incentives for young blacks away to join gangs and have a high social standing in the African and Caribbean communities.

Edward Kennedy, the nation buster, dies

The passing away of the Kennedy Clan

Yesterday an evil U.S. politician died. He was an effective enemy of his own nation and therefore of the whole Western world. His name is of course Edward Kennedy, scion of the Kennedy clan. With his passing the power of the Kennedy dynasty is effectively over. It´s a good thing.

Edward Kennedy, was a Democratic Senator for Massachusets.

Kennedy as the enabler of the Other

The worst evil Senator Edward Kennedy helped to visit on the U.S. was the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act. Until then there had been a quota system for immigration, which ensured that the overwhelming majority of all immigrants was of European stock. This ensured that the ethnic balance of the U.S. was not upset. With the passing of the 1965 Immigration Act this was changed and now immigrants from Asia, Africa, the Muslim World and South-America could enter the U.S.A. and become ´citizens`.

Other treasonous legislation by Senator Kennedy

This was no incident in Senator Kennedy´s political life. The Senator also supported amnesty for illegals in 1986. And the Civil Rights act of 1991, which vastly expanded the possibilities for minorities to sue their employers for `discrimination´.

The biggest act of betrayal was the 1965 Immigration Act. It paved the way for the multi-cultural ideology, because once a nation does not have a culturally homogenous population anymore, the dominance of its culture becomes in question and Multi-culturalism is the expression of that questioning and undermining.

The foundation of treason was deception

With millions of non-westerners in the cities of the U.S., the U.S. stopped being a Nation and became in effect an empire. Senator Kennedy enabled this transformation by deceiving his countrymen. He deceived them by declaring that the Immigration Act would not change anything:

First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same ... Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset ... Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia ... In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think.

Multi-culturalism and Foreign policy

Generally a nation´s foreign policy is a continuation of it´s home policy by other means. As the U.S. created a new image of a Multi-Cultural empire at home, its foreign policy changed. This was most notably illustrated with the dissolution of Multi-ethnic Yugoslavia. Here the U.S. declared the Serbs to be the bad guys, the originators of the dissolution of the Yugoslav multin-ethnic empire and twice formed military and political coalitions that severly damaged the Serb position in their ancestral homelands in the Krajina and Kosovo. And so Multi-culturalism got a new lease on life.

For the time being. Because eventually U.S.-led multi-culturalism it will go the same way as Senator Kennedy went.

Immigration and development of human capital

Immigration of guest workers has been sold to Europeans as away to rejuvenate and strengthen the continent. The children immigrants would be educated as Europeans and when working help to pay for the pension of older Europeans.

Does good education equal loyalty?

Unfortunately the labour participation of the biggest group of immigrants, the Muslims, is shockingly low. Around 50 percent in The Netherlands and Germany. Bu there is worse news. Many of the best educated young Muslims, return to the countries of origin, taking with them all the education invested in them. The question is: may education inculate immigrants with a sense of loyalty and belonging to the society that educated them?

Wealth is no home

It makes sense, when you think about it. No matter how much money one makes, one will not be able to identify with a sociey that belongs to a different culture. But what about the figures?

According to the Dutch Central Statistics Office (CBS) the number of Muslims going back to the country of their parents was:

Of Turks going back was in 2004: 341 and in 2008: 676
Of Moroccans going back was in 2004: 240 and in 2008: 327

The verdict

The question of loyalty has not been answered with these low numbers. But the number are rising. There are around half a million Turks and almost a quarter of a million Moroccans of all ages in The Netherlands. This outflow of human capital puts another nail in the coffin of Multiculturalism in The Netherlands.

Violence flaring in Denmark

Danish blogger Balder writes that last night there was shooting in Odense, Denmark last night in which two people got injured:

A 43 year old plain clothes policeman was shot in the belly and in his arm, a white rapper named Niarn was slightly injured by a grazing shot, and a civilian whose identity was not disclosed was also hit by a bullet in the violence plagued borough of Noerrebro [Nørrebro] in Copenhagen last night around 22:30.

Diminishing trust in The Netherlands

Yesterday, Mr. Earl Cromer left a comment in which he said amongst other things:

It seems in many Dutch, French and British cities the natives are integrating into the violent gang cultures of the immigrants - I suppose in many respects they must act like them to survive in areas where they are the minority, and normal society cannot help them.

When I was a kid I read a book about two Dutch chaps travelling through the Middle East in a Chevrolet. The book described a voyage made in the early 70ies. One of the things which struck me was the following. There was a rule a Middle Eastern traveller had to abide by and that was getting away as soon as possible in case of an accident. This is because the local population would always turn on the foreigner assuming that there are no accidents, but that every damage or injury done is an act of intentional hostility.

Importing low-trust populations

Today this kind of attitude has been imported to Europe. E.g. ambulance staff is attacked by Middle Easterners extraction, when an ambulance is deemed slow to arrive. Middle Easterners are sure that the slow response is hostility of the ambulance drivers against them. They do not need proof for that. Middle Easterners are certainly savages in this respect.

Dragging the higher level down

But there are indications that today community relations are getting so bad that ethnic Dutchmen are also assuming that any damaging act by a Middle Easterner is a hostile act.

In the paper version of this week's Elsevier columnist Bart-Jan Spruyt reacted to the interview with policeman Ad Visser, who mentioned that ethnic Dutchmen are becoming more and more threatening towards Middle Easterners. Mr. Spruyt related how he had a dinner with an unnamed Police Chief a few months ago and that the Police Chief mentioned that in some city a Morroccans had a car accident on a cross roads overlooked by high rise buildings. As the shocked Morroccan came out of his car he and other Moroccans were attacked by Dutchment armed with baseball bats from the high rises. The Dutchmen acted on the assumption "something bad is happening to a Dutchman, it is done by a Morroccan, it must be an hostile act".

Lowering of standards is no problem for liberals

This shows that Mr. Cromer's observation is right. Europe is under the rule of liberalism. Under the rule of liberalism equality is the highest value, the value all other values are subordinated to. Under this value it is not possible to discriminate against Middle Easterners wanting to immigrate and colonize Europe. But Middle Easterners are UNEQUAL to Westerners. They are low-trust savages, who think nothing of lying, cheating and the use of violence to further their interests and that of their communities. The liberal elite is unable to elevate large numbers of immigrants to the cultural level to the level of high-trust of Western-Europeans.

However they are managing to create a level field between ethnic Dutchmen and Middle Easterners. By mistreating the ethnic Dutchmen for decades and never granting them justice they have so eroded the trust of ethnic Dutchmen in society that theyir behaviour is now dragged down to the level of savagery that is common in the Middle East.

The joys of equality

I do think that the liberals are happy this way. After all their highest value is equality. If they can point to misbehaving ethnic Dutchmen, the cause of preserving equality as the higest value is served. And that is what they really care about. They do not care about The Netherlands, not about Europe. The treason lobby does not care how much havoc and destruction it wreaks on Western Civilization.

ANYTHING for equality.

We have seen the end result in the formerly communist world. Serious Conservatives have to look at themselves and to wonder if equality is not really their highest value as well.

A civilized order of society

A comprehensive civilized order is only possible if we view people as unequal. There are differences between people from different civilizations. Some of these differences are irreconcilable. Therefore mass immigration of non-europeans to Europe ought to be out of the question under any circumstance.

Africa in Asia and Africa in Europe compared

High flying African drugdealers

In my yesterday article "Africa in Europe" this blog delt with the behaviour of groups of immigrants. I stated that behaviour could best be explained by looking to their cultures of origin, rather than looking at the Western countries where they have settled. I will further illustrate this by taking a closer look at one of the killings in Zuidoost neighbourhood of Amsterdam. This concerned a drugsdealer, "Zubi", who jumped from a balcony when police was invading his appartment. "Zubi", an Ibo from Nigeria (Dutch) had a connection with the chief of his tribe in Nigeria and was a conduit for cocaine in Amsterdam. Police found 25 bags of cocaine in the flat, plus a bag full of little smuggler balls of cocaine, plus half a big bin bag of cocaine in his appartment.

Racial solidarity trumps all for Blacks

"Zubi" died when he landed on the ground outside the high rise where he lived. The result were demonstrations by Blacks in Zuidoost, accusing the police of "racism" and a "hunt for blacks" (Dutch). The blacks shamelessy come to the aid of their fellow blacks even though in this case the "brother" in question killed himself and was a high ranking gangster. And they have the temerity to accuse the police of "racism"!

Liberals are quick to blame ethnic Dutchmen for what happened here. In an article in "Het Parool" Albert de Lange, a Dutch journalist features Tom Marfo, a Ghanese Reverend (Dutch), who explains that the drugdealer jumped because he feared deportation. If only the Dutch would stop deporting illegals, tragedies like these would not happen is the subtext of the article. This message is in accordance with Mr. Auster's First Law of Majority - Minority relations:

The worse any designated minority or alien group behaves in a liberal society, the bigger become the lies of Political Correctness in covering up for that group.

Do Blacks only jump and riot in liberal Europe? The answer is no as shown by a story on the Star (HT Mr. Auster): Africans in the Chinese city of Guangzhou.

At a busy intersection in the heart of this southern city recently, angry Africans carried a bleeding black man, held aloft, across eight lanes of heavy traffic to deposit him smack at a police station's door.

Almost immediately hundreds of other Africans converged on the station--shouting for the police to come out and take responsibility.

The wounded man's name was Emmanuel Okoro of Nigeria.

Trapped in a police raid on illegal immigrants that afternoon, Okoro chose to leap from the second floor of a shopping mall rather than be arrested.

He landed on his head.

Now, as he lay unconscious on the station's doorstep, angry protestors fanned out into the street--blocking traffic, ripping up plants, waving tree limbs and denouncing the police.

It took six hours to restore order.

We see here Africans in China exhibiting exactly the same behaviour as Africans in Zuidoost.

Laws live in populations

It proves that the behaviour of this group can best be explained by the origin of the group and not by the nation and culture where they have settled. In The Netherlands the law is that if an Alien legally resides in country for three years he can apply for citizensship. However, very few immigrants truly become citizens, their behaviour remains locked in patterns established in the culture were they originated. They are not significantly affected by the laws and culture of their adoptive country. The Chinese accept this and act accordingly. They expell the Africans after their visa expire.

Ojukwu Emma of the Nigerian Community in China says he and the Nigerian embassy are working on an agreement with local authorities to provide exit visas for Nigerians whose visas have expired and who wish to return home. If formalized, it would allow Nigerians to leave China within 10 days, without threat of detention.

However, the ingrained Liberalism of Europeans makes it very difficult for them to do so and illegal immigrants are seldomly expelled. On the other hand, the comments under the articles in the Dutch press show that hardly any of the commenters fall for the spiel of the liberal reporters.

The laws of group behaviour

In conclusion I state that the laws which govern group behaviour originate in cultures. As a shorthand: "Laws live in populations, not in territories". Liberals have a problem in dealing with this reality. It goes against their central tenet: "The law of equality trumps every other law".


Practical recommendations flowing from correct understanding of reality

Serious conservatives ought to be firm in dealing with this liberal inability to deal with the reality of human inequality. Religions, nations and cultures are unequal. It should not be a crime to state this, as it is now. This important truth should be the basis for policy decisions. The policy with regards to foreigners of different cultures should be not to allow them to settle in The West. If they already have settled their permits should not be renewed. Should they be in the West illegally they must be tracked down and expelled. If they have citizenship or resident status and commit serious crimes, they should be expelled as well. If the Chinese can do it, so can we!

Laws live in populations, rather than in geography

It is my conviction that when a nation receive immigrants in significant numbers, the immigrants will ussually congegrate in one spot form a colony and follow the laws and customs of their societies of origin. The veracity of this idea can be observed all over Europe in the Muslim gettos. But there are also African and Caribbean gettos in Europe.

European township called Zuidoost

One of them is situated in the capital of The Netherlands, Amsterdam. Amsterdam has its own black township of 80,000 inhabitants. And it is called South East or Zuidoost. It used to be called Bijlmer, but that name became so infamous that it was changed. In the past decade the grey but fine appartment buildings of Zuidoost were largely pulled down and replaced by lower and better quality housing. According to police chief Ad Visser 4 billion Euros were invested in the area.

Shooting for a tenner

But they ways of Zuidoost are still the ways of an African population. Many people in Zuidoost live lives of crime. Of drugdealing, burglaring and prostitution. Recently there was a spate of shootings. The Netherlands is a country with extremely restrictive gun laws. During the Second World War the German occupiers introduced these restrictions for obvious reasons and they were never lifted. Guns can only be owned by sports shooters.

But in Zuidoost many people carry guns and they use them. In the past year there have been 14 shootings with a number of injured persons and 2 people killed. Recently a 15 year old Caribbean black boy, Gianluca Flamingo, was killed, while sleeping in a car driven by a friend a well known kickboxer.

Human engineering leads to expensive failures

As said before the government is spending massive amounts of tax money to uplift the African population of Zuidoost, by providing them with excellent housing and good schools. But human reality cannot be engineered. Zuidoost remains a bad living area because the quality of the population can only be improved by removing the population and replacing them with ethnic Dutch people.

The Netherlands: high trust society becomes low trust society

The Netherlands: a typical Western European nation

Like other Western European Nations, The Netherlands was always a high trust society. A society where citizens trusted the police, the judiciary. Their churches, the political establishment. Their instititutions. And a Chinese proverb has it that:

Trust comes on foot and leaves on a horse.

Better not waste that trust then. But that is exactly what happened in The Netherlands. As a result of a deluge of unassimilable African and Muslim immigrants trust is eroded on all sides.

The effect of immigration on trust

The Harvard professor Robert D. Putnam published research in 2007 that communities with high immigration scored the lowest not only in trusting the newcomers, but also showed a drop in kith and kin trust:

In the presence of [ethnic] diversity, we hunker down. We act like turtles. The effect of diversity is worse than had been imagined. And it’s not just that we don’t trust people who are not like us. In diverse communities, we don’t trust people who do look like us.

The executive Branch: policemen's trust eroded

A recent poll showed that Dutch policemen (Dutch) have stopped trusting their own police leadership and the political establishment. A poll amongst 8,500 policemen showed that two thirds of police men do not trust the police leadership. 91 percent thought politicians had no inkling of what the policeman's beat looks like. A large majority of the police do not feel supported by the public.

Absolutely devastating findings about the lack of trust in the executive branch.

The judiciary: same old story

And what about the Courts? In June President of the High Court Mr. Geert Cortjens (Dutch) complained that politicians and the media have started to criticize verdicts of Penal Courts. The High Judge opinioned that politicians and media ought to show respect for judges and their verdicts. And that politicians were not even aware that the Courts are one of the three branches of government.

The criticism against judges shows the absense of trust between politicians and media and the Justice system.

The downfall of The Netherlands

In 30 years of mass immigration the Dutch elite has managed to implement a policy of mass immigration, which has severed ties amongst the native population of the Netherlands and severely damaged its institutions. Both the police and the judiciary have lost the trust of the public and have themselves become isolated.

It may well take a century for the injuries that have been inflicted to be healed IF that is even possible, provided that immigration is stopped.

Freedom Party suffers in the polls

Freedom Party suffers from a lack of attention

According to the Barometer the Freedom Party (PVV) is experiencing a drop (Dutch) in its political popularity. Barometer is a poll run by Nova, a government subsidized news and commentary program.

According to Nova, the PVV dropped 4 seats out of a 150 in the month July. The interpretation is that the party which communicates with its voter base mostly through the media. This is because it lacks affiliated newspapers, or a church like most of the other parties. When it is summer there is a dearth of news, hence the drop.

It is the first time that the PVV is dropping in the polls, since the party was founded.

Freedom Party recruits local politicians in two cities

Recruiting politicians by political parties

An important function of a political party is the recruitment and vetting of politicians. This function is one of the cornerstones of the party political system that has characterized Dutch politics since the late 19th century. Political parties in Europe are increasingly finding it difficult to attract quality candidates and the level of politicians is conspiciously falling. All Dutch parties combined have about 300,000 members, which is 2.6 percent of the electorate. Ten percent or 30,000 of them are active members and amongst these the 12,000 political offices and 15,000 party political positions are distributed. Nearly every active political party member has some kind of job! Any political party that wants to leave its mark, must not only win votes, but also find thousands of candidates to staff the administrative and political machine of the Dutch state. A new succesful party attracts nutters and opportunists, which is a big risk to a controversial right-wing party that faces a hostile media. But there is no way around it. Or is there?

The Freedom Party is recruiting slowly

Mr. Geert Wilders' Freedom Party (PVV) is recruiting and vetting its aspiring politicians very securely. All recruited politicians are vetted by Geert Wilders personally. The PVV announced this weekend that they recruited enough local politicians to contest the 2010 municipal elections in The Hague and Almere. both cities have high probabilities of victory. In the 400 plus other villages, towns and cities of the Netherlands the PVV will field no candidates. Mr. Geert Wilders stated:

We have not found enough people that I am willing to vouch for.

Mr. Wilders wants to avoid a repeat of the 2001 LPF-fiasco, when the late Mr. Fortuyn's party went under in squabbling of its upstart members. Remarkably the PVV is not only not running in Amsterdam, the Dutch capital. But also not in Rotterdam, where there is massive dissaffection with the Multicultural society, as evidenced in the strength of the remainder of Fortuyn's old Rotterdam Party, Leefbaar Rotterdam (LR). Mr. Marco Pastors (Dutch), the leader of LR, was relieved and remarked:

He [Wilders] would have taken many seats in the case of Rotterdam elections. But he knows that nutty councilmen would destroy everything in the national elections. He kept a cool head.

Wilders' strategy: straight for the jugular!

It is his stated strategy to recruit politicians to first staff his parliamentary and party fraction after the 2010 parliamentary elections. Next he must be ready for the 2011 provincial elections and field candidates for the provincial chambers. These in turn appoint senators to the Dutch Senate. When everything goes well the Freedom Party will then have significant clout in the legislature and be able to influence policy. The PVV received a lot of Flak from the media and politicians like Greens Femke Halsma, who accussed the PVV of "abandoning its voters".

A low risk, high yield strategy

Despite the Flak the road that the Freedom Party will take is clear. They will take as little risk as possible in the next two years and still reach for the pinnacle of power. Afterwards they will be able to take time and recruit candidates for the municipalities.

Police Chief threatens ethnic Dutchmen, protects Muslim 'hoods

In an article written in 2004 by Mr. Lawrence Auster in 2004 he addresses the core of the double standard of liberalism.

The double standard may well be the most characteristic feature of the leftist cultural order under which we now live .. [the reason for the double standard of liberalism] .. is that today's "liberals" are really leftists who have rejected the older liberal belief in a shared equality of citizens before the law and have embraced the socialist vision of "equality as a fact and equality as a result," ..

In his article Mr. Auster continues:

the left has for tactical reasons largely shifted its demand for equality of results away from the economic sphere to the cultural/moral sphere and the advancement of "oppressed" cultural and ethnic groups. The result is cultural socialism, which entails the same kind of bureaucratically imposed egalitarian “solution” as existed under the older socialism, and thus leads to a cultural double standard. This cultural double standard goes something like this: Since "we" (e.g., whites, Westerners, Christians, men, conservatives, Americans, the U.S. armed forces, Republicans, and heterosexuals) constitute an allegedly dominant group in society and are better off than the "Other" (e.g., nonwhites, non-Westerners, Moslems, women, liberals, immigrants, enemy combatants, Democrats, and homosexuals), our superior position violates the imperative of equality. In order for the desired state of equality to be attained, we, the unfairly dominant group, must be condemned, excluded, and dragged down, while the Other must be celebrated, included, and raised up. In short, in the name of equality, society is divided into two radically distinct groups, to which radically different rules apply.

In Europe today this means that the police is contemplating cracking down on the local citizenry which is getting restless as a result of its suffering at the hands of Muslim criminals.

Dutch newspaper "De Pers" published an interview with East Amsterdam (Amsterdam-Oost) police district chief Ad Smit. After giving many examples of the knowledge of ethnic differences that is required to police a multicultural cauldron like East Amsterdam the district chief speaks some chilling words, intended perhaps to appease those higher up in the police and political hierarchies:

In neighbourhood meetings people mention "Moroccan-C**ts". It is called out in the streets, at Moroccans. Also during disturbances. That bystanders call: if you do not act, we will act, but differently, with baseball bats. I have heard it with my own ears. We (the police) do not accept that, this is taking the law in one's own hands. So far we have managed to contain it, end it. At the beginning of this year I reported to the Chiefs of the Amsterdam Police that the reaction of ethnic Dutchmen against Moroccans is fierce, something must be done. We have strongly intervened. We arrested dozens of muggers. We - especially the community policemen - are paying special attention to make sure whether the ethnic Dutch are getting out of hand. When the cause is taken away, the anger ebbs away as well.

Interviewer: So people limit themselves to nagging and calling names?

They still do [emphasis mine]. One has got to have a serious demeanor. One has to exude that one will not choose the side of Dutch ethnics if such words used. And that force will be used if things goes too far.

If the moment comes that fists are clenched, the moment that people will organise against certain population groups, then things are getting out of hand and I will use force. If I as a Police Chief would know that a group [of ethnics] is organizing to get at another group [of ethnics] I will have the whole lot arrested.

As long as I have the power I will resist with all my strength. It is an incredibly dangerous matter. I think it is easy is one is not doing well - and today many marginalized people are being marginalized even more - to have a go at the Other. Midway through the last century, we've had a very bad example of that.

[Edit: Mr Laurence Auster of VFR sent me a mail stating I ought to make explicit what the double standard of Police Chief Ad Visser is].

The double standard is that ethnic Dutchmen have been exposed to Moroccan and other Muslim crime for 30 year or longer. The police has refused to protect society during that period. The police could not be bothered and the percentage of reported crimes solved fell to 15 percent. Now that the ethnic Dutch are so provoked that they are stirring and preparing to counter the actions of the Muslim community all of a sudden the police CAN be bothered to crack down on those who take the law in their own hands. This is liberal Police Chief Ad Visser's double standard. [End of Edit]

Now, after 30 years the failures of Liberalism and its offspring, the Multicultural society, become heavy, too heavy a burden. The native Dutchmen are getting restless. The authorities are looking at each other for encouragement and support. They want to tell the others in their class that they stand ready to crush unrest and dissent. Their rule will survive despite any challenge.

Labour's tricky predicament

In the running up to the 2006 municipal elections, Mr. Wouter Bos, the Labour party leader said that Labour (PvdA) would see a lot of trouble with immigrant politicians in the local councils as they would bring elements into Labour whose interests diverged from the interests of the Labour Party.

Mr. Bos' perceptive remark would prove prophetic. The question is what this phenomenon says about the presence of Muslims in The Netherlands and other Muslims societies.

One of the politicians that fits the bill of Wouter Bos' remark is the subject of this article.

The usual suspects

Bouchra Ismaili, a Rotterdam former Labour municipal politician, is featuring in the news once more. In the middle of January 2008 she achieved notoriety by:
1. signing a petition of a hardline Islamic group: Hizb-ut-Tahir
2. writing an e-mail to a Dutchman with a rather hostile content:

You are the immigrant here!!!! With Allah on my side i fear nothing and nobody.

Indeed, it is a good thing she has no fear.

The unmasked Muslim

Mrs. Bouchra is now campaigning on behalf on the Dutch Muslim Party (NMP). The affair has only made her star shine more brightly to Muslims of Rotterdam. She is expected to pull in 2-3 council seats in the Rotterdam Council.

The interests of Dutch people and the expressed wishes of Muslims

The Hizb-ut-Tahrir program that Mrs. Bouchra support goes very strongly against the interests of the ethically Dutch people of Rotterdam. If this only goads Rotterdam's Muslims in supporting Mrs. Bouchra this shows that the presence of Muslims in Rotterdam and other parts of Europe hurts the interests of the Westerners amongst whom they settle. Therefore there ought to be a moratorium on all Muslim immigration to The Netherlands.

Hells Angels Holland demand damages

The Dutch state recently suffered a defeat against an emerging non-state actor. The Dutch chapter of the Hells Angels. In my words "the Hells Angels have become untouchable". Now the Hells Angels are following up their success:

Hells Angels want €2.2m in damages

Twenty-four Hells Angels are demanding a total of €2.2m in compensation from the Dutch state for damages suffered as a result of the legal action that was taken against them, report various media on Thursday.

Lawyer Bram Moszkowicz is asking for one-third of the total sum (€800,000) for his client Harry S who was detained by police for two months before being released without being charged.

On Thursday 12 cases were heard by the Amsterdam court. The first 12 came before the court six weeks ago.

In total 35 members of the Hells Angels club are asking for damages. In 11 cases The Hells Angels and prosecution service reached an agreement.

The public prosecution department fought a long-running legal battle to get the Hells Angels banned but has been unsuccessful.

Stacking the cards against Geert Wilders

Geert Wilders, the leader of the Freedom Party (PVV), is being prosecuted in The Netherlands by the Amsterdam Court of Appeal for hate speech, as has been reported on this blog. There is disturbing news from the legal front for Wilders.

In Belgium a politician, Daniel Feret, was convicted for stating in leaflets that Islam seeks the Islamization of Belgium. Mr. Ferret appealed the decision at the European Court, a Court with seven judgees.

The European court has now upheld the decision of the Belgian court (Dutch), with three judges dissenting. Amongst other things Mr. Ferret will be stripped of his passive democratic rights for the duration of ten years. This means he is not electable for ten years.

If something like this would happen to the leader of the PVV, it would have dire consequnces for the prospects of the party.

The law is becoming increasingly politicized in Europe. The question is whether the rise of rightwing parties in Europe is influencing the European judges. Is the political echelon exerting pressure on judges to eliminate rightwing competion, or are they acting on their own accord? At this level of judging politics and law mesh. It is impossible that political considerations are not a part of the deliberations of the European and national Dutch and Belgian judges.
