The Backlash against the Backlash

Broken

Every force calls up its own counterforce. It all began a long time ago:
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth". Not just Heaven. Not just Earth. But both juxtaposed.

And so it is that we live in a world of struggle and of shifting balances. This is Fate. This is the will of God. It shall not ever be else.

The Left gained power in The Netherlands after the 1968 youth rebellion and gave the whole population Freedom from Tradition and Church and the fear of authority.

Soon disorder and and abuse cropped up. The country was increasingly populated by strangers, who know not our God. And Dutchmen started to feel uneasy. The guestworkers reunited with wives and children and they increased their number explosively in the 1980ies. In the 1990ies it all accelerated and the Asylum seekers came and Christian and Nationalist culture was abolished by the mass media and the education system.

Judges

The Bible in the book of Judges describes the pattern so perfectly and illustrated with stark examples:

2:1 And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.
2:2 And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?
2:3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.
2:4 And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.
2:5 And they called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there unto the LORD.
2:6 And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land.
2:7 And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.
2:8 And Joshua, the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old.
2:9 And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathheres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash.
2:10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.
2:11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:
2:12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
2:13 And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.
2:14 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
2:15 Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.
2:16 Nevertheless the LORD raised up judges, which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them.
2:17 And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not so.
2:18 And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.
2:19 And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way.
2:20 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice;
2:21 I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:
2:22 That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not.
2:23 Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.

Following strange Gods

Not only would the Israelites be invaded by neighbouring peoples, but it would be preceded by new cults and accompanying priesthoods who told the Israelites it was allright to worship foreign Gods. Baalim and accept foreign ways of believing. Sound familiar?

Then they would cry out to the Lord and the Lord would send them a Judge to deliver them. And the Judge would take on the Baalim and the priesthoods first, before he would take on the armies and multitudes of the invaders.

But the priesthoods would not take it lying down.

Fortuyn and the old guard

Fortuyn had been raised a Roman Catholic and as so many of his generation he had converted to Marxism when he started studying in the 1960ies. For him it must have been particularly liberating because of the stance of the Church on homosexuality. However at a certain point between his 30ies and 40ies he became desillussioned with Marxism and he turned back to Catholic Christianity. Somehow however he kept up a raucious queer lifestyle so people tended not to notice his conversion.

Fortuyn started to study Conservatism and the Dutch variant thereof, mostly found in Christian Democratic think tanks and books. Catholic and also often Calvinist teachings. He developed a way of speaking in which he used many biblical allusions and a almost pictoral way of speaking. He wrote many books but was not a great writer. His way of speaking hit a chord with the Dutch public in a way that is very surprising, regarding the fact the Dutch are quite secularized and that the 20 percent of the population that was still strongly Christian is very loyal to the 3 religious lists next to the Christian Democrats, who are lukewarm.

Speaking to hearts

Fortuyn spoke often in a very emotional tone that touched the hearts and sentiments of people in a big way.

Finally, next to the existing broadcasting channels that were all tied to a Church or to Socialism or to Liberalism there are new commercial broadcasting channels who not tied to the status quo and who interviewed him matter of factly, which meant that the spin of the old media was often exposed. The new media broke the ranks. The media priesthood was divided.

The other politicians had been talking about income and money and insurance and tolerance and yakity-yak for 2 decades. They were thorougly boring and had agreed amongst each other not to mention the gorilla in the room: the presence of increasing numbers of Third-worlders and the rise of Islam.

9-11 came and Dutchmen were aghast. Not only were Muslims on the rise in our own country but they even terrorised the USA, the number one country in the world, our liberators and protectors.

Running into a wall

When the old guard debated Fortuyn Fortuyn won again and again. He had studied Islam, he had written a book "The Islamisation of our Culture" and exposed rampant crime by young Muslims against White Dutchmen. He exposed the hatred of Muslims against homosexuals. Their treatment of women. Their hatred of Jews. He was told it was forbidden to say what he said. Article 1 of the Dutch constitution since 1848 says that all Dutch subjects are to be treated equally under the law. In 1980 a sentence was added to article 1 of the constitution on instigation of Marcus Bakker, a parlementarian of the Dutch Communist party. The sentence said that all discrimination on the grounds of ethnic back ground, religion, gender or sexual orientation was forbidden. In practice this meant that all groups were protected, apart from ethnic Dutch males. Thus Freedom of Speech was eliminated. Sounds familiar?

Singling out the Muslims for their behaviour and their Holy book was a transgression of that perverted Law twisted by a Communist. At the same time Imam El Moumni, a Morroccan Muslim cleric in The Netherlands went on the record saying that homosexuals are: "lower than dogs and pigs".

Fortuyn was needled about this by a TV-journalist who was hoping to provoke an Anti-Muslim tirade from Fortuyn. Fortuyn said: "well, I think the good imam should be allowed to say that, that is Freedom of Speech. And I should be allowed to call his opinion reprehensible and backward, that is Freedom of Speech". So Fortuyn took the opportunity to call for Freedom of Speech, taking the moral highground from the Left.

He would do this almost constantly. Whenever the journalists had though of a smart way to trap Fortuyn, Fortuyn would turn it against the Left and against the media. With every attack on him Fortuyns popularity grew. And journalists were openly discussing on the pages of the newspaper how they could damage Fortuyn, as if the people were not reading them as well.

The slant was so obvious that Fortuyn became the underdog in the eyes of the public and people who had not thought about his message started to think about it and come around to his view. Even when Fortuyn was making mistakes, he was still rising in the opinion polls, who were now held almost daily.

At a certain point a debate was organised between the leaders of the four biggest parties and including Fortuyn. The leader of the Greens, Paul Rosemuller, launched into a personal attack of Fortuyn saying: "what is wrong with you is that you cannot handle attacks on your ideas and instead of replying you become emotional and resort to theatrics". The handpicked audience hooted and applauded this ad hominem attack. Instead of replying Fortuyn was furious. He refused to talk and took off the microphone from his suit, indicating that he was through with the debate. He petulantly refused to shake Rosemuller's hand.

A big victory for the old guard. The media were ecstatic. After the debate Fortuyn went outside were there were crowds who cheered him. Fortuyn spoke to people who asked hime questions. A woman reporter was following him around with a camera team and was pestering him for a comment on what she correctly called: "disgraceful showing on the debate". At a certain point Fortuyn lost his patience with her, turned around and said: "woman, go to the kitchen".

This was of course also broadcasted on every news channel. In case people would not understand commentators explained that Fortuyn had blundered and would certainly go down in the polls.

There were opinion polls. People had NOT understood. AGAIN more people, men and women, wanted to vote for him. Because the political system in The Netherlands is so fractured a party with a fifth of the vote is already a biggie and a third of the vote makes a party the biggest and dominant party. Fortuyn was polling between 25 and 35 percent of the electorate, meaning he was the second biggest party, meaning that he could hardly be excluded from a coalition. If he would have the biggest list he would become leader of the coalition and Prime Minister. Representing a party that had never existed before.

Son, they will kill you

Fortuyn declared that he would be the next Prime Minister and sinisterily said: "even if I will not be Prime Minister I will still be Prime Minister". When asked what he meant by that, he said that he and his party were inundated with death threats and could he be killed. His mother had died a year before and asked him on her deathbed to promise never to run for office, because "they will kill you". Fortuyn appealed to the Prime Minister, Socialist Wim Kok to end the demonisation against him. He went on a TV show (Jensen) and declared that if he was killed, the Government would also be responsible because they were helping to whip up sentiment against him. See the TV fragment here.
There is a menu under the pictures with:

Click the third word: "beelden"

Download the uppermost file, called: "demonisering" (click: "bekijk de beelden"). It is in Dutch of course, but here you see someone announcing his assasination and denouncing his Government for whipping up his killer. Also you can hear the audience encouraging him and the voices of his haters amongst the audience. See, what a lovable man he was!

As mentioned in my previous post Fortuyn had promised to end the subsidies to the extreme left wing plethora of organisations supporting women's, animals', minorities' and squatters' rights.

13 April 2002 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon Fortuyn is attacked by on the highway by a man looking like someone from the squatter movement. The man stops his care with 3 other squatters near a traffic light and tries to bash in the windows of Fortuyns car.

There are many other incidents. During the election campaign Fortuyn can not campaign in Blue collar neighbourhoods because groups of Muslims attack him with stones. During a press conference presenting his program an extreme Leftist squatters' group attacks him with a huge cake with a stuffing of vomit.

On the 4th of May the Dutch remember those who fell during the attack on the Netherlands by the Germans in the second world war. On May the fifth is the day of Liberation. On 6th of May NRC Handelsblad, probably the most respected newspaper in the Netherlands, has a main editorial written by the chief editor, Folkert Jensma. Jensma writes that on these days of remembrance everyone has to do the right thing and not vote for the candidate whose inspiration goes back to the dark days and dark forces of the enemy in the second World War.

At six PM on May the sixth, less than 2 weeks before the elections, Fortuyn alone and unprotected comes out of a media studio in the media park of Hilversum and is shot by six bullets from a short distance. The newspapers forgot their usual reticence and put the uncovered and bullet riddled body on many the front pages.

He had just been on a radio show and told the DJ of his love for the book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-4
3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
3:2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3:3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
3:4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

And this is because we live in a world of struggle and of shifting balances. This is Fate. This is the will of God. It shall not ever be else.

Fortuyn knew that he had a Rendez-vous with Death. He asked for protection but got none. The assasin had done his work and now it was time to soothe the people because the people were angry. Very angry.

More about the murder and the aftermath in a further post later this week.

RobertinArabia,

"spread widely"

you mean amongst the Dutch population? Or in the Western world?

GaylikeaFox,

I can assure you there were plenty of conspiracy theories. In fact the slogan after the murder was: "De kogel kwam van links (the Bullet cam from the Left)".

And Theo van Gogh made a film about the murder with a conspiracy theory. Something to do with Fortuyn's opposition to the purchase of the JSF (Joint Strike Fighter). Van Gogh was murdered while he was going to his studio to make the finishing touches to the movie. The movie was not a success and I think it was a crappy script.

Anyway the point of the post was that there was no NEED for a murder conspiracy. The establishment parties with exeption of the Christian Democrats whipped up hysteria and hatred. In this climate of hatred and fear an assasination was an obvious action by desperate Leftist groups. I bet there were other groups apart from Volkert van der Geert, plotting to murder Fortuyn. Fortuyn announced his murder on TV and said that the government would not be able to wash its hands of it. Because of the mass psychosis they had created.

It just needed one more thing. Fortuyn was alone and unprotected when he was murdered. He had repeatedly asked for protection. He even went on TV and radio. But all his appeals fell on deaf ears.

I do not think it was a concious conspiracy, but if one was looking on like most people in the country and not a part of the establishment or the extreme left then there were obvious signs that both groups were not in control of themselves.

A moving post. Poor Fortuny he had many enemies in the Left, he wanted to stop their luxurious way of life thanks to the public budget.

Elites murdered him. no doubt.

I wonder if Fortuny´s family could not sue the Dutch Government for not giving him protection.

Europe is lost, it has no longer the will to survive. Its enemies, mainly the Left, are in power and they hate free speech, Christianity and Western values, exactly the same than their allies, Muslims.

You draw a very interesting parallel between our current situation and the ancient history of Israel.
It is shocking to see what has happened to Holland in a timeframe of just 50 years. It's of great importance to pinpoint the socio-politically engineering forces that contributed to our current problems. A very good British blog illustrating the socio-political engineering at work is this one.

Although the media repeatedly states that Fortuyn used to be a Marxist, he always denied it. He merely had 'learned a few things from Marx', as he put it, 'but that does not make him a Marxist'.
I think the reason why Fortuyn won the hearts of so many was not just because he had the courage to go against the politically correct tidal wave fearlessly and say the things that were not allowed to be said out loud, but also because of his honesty and sincerity. Many men would have been broken by all the things Fortuyn had to endure, yet Fortuyn went on in spite of the hate deluge thrown at him from all sides, because he believed he was on a mission, and he felt that God had called him to pursue his path in Dutch politics.
The debate you mentioned between Fortuyn and Rosenmuller a.o. took place at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Fortuyn's father had died two days earlier which must have left him vulnerable, so, Rosenmuller's empty populist remark tells us far more about Rosenmuller's mean character than about Pim.

Just the other day I came across an interview with Pim in a Catholic newspaper, and his answers are as refreshingly honest and politically incorrect today as they were three years ago: Katholiek Nieuwsblad

Marcus Bakker's addition to the Dutch constitution (what an incredibly sneaky yet clever strategic move!) has turned into the PC-whip by means of which the left has been able to silence the opposition throughout the years.
Fortuyn once said that he would like to scrap this article from Dutch constitution, and I agree with him. The odd thing is, in this article discrimination on grounds of political belief ALSO is counted as a violation of the constitution, yet if you recall how Janmaat was treated then it is clear that the when it came to Janmaat suddenly this article was 'forgotten'.
